Waar ga je werken?

Je komt terecht bij een technisch georiënteerde onderneming met familiaal karakter, actief in de verkoop en ondersteuning van industriële oplossingen op maat.

Het bedrijf is al jaren een gevestigde waarde in zijn niche en werkt samen met internationale leveranciers (waaronder sterke spelers uit Duitsland en Scandinavië).

Binnen België wordt de markt opgevolgd door een klein, hecht salesteam van drie collega's. Door het aanstaande pensioen van een ervaren collega is er ruimte voor een nieuwe Sales Engineer die de fakkel mee kan opnemen.

De organisatie staat bekend om haar flexibiliteit, korte communicatielijnen en klantgerichte aanpak. Geen logge structuur, maar directe samenwerkingen intern.

Er heerst een open, nuchtere sfeer waarin kennisdeling en langetermijndenken centraal staan.

Wat ga je doen?

Als Sales Engineer België combineer je technisch inzicht met commerciële feeling.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het adviseren van klanten, het uitwerken van technische offertes en de opvolging van lopende projecten.

Concreet betekent dat:

  • Analyseren van klantbehoeften en vertalen naar technische oplossingen op maat.
  • Opstellen en berekenen van offertes in samenwerking met techniek, leveranciers en logistiek.
  • Opvolging van projecten van aanvraag tot levering.
  • Contact met klanten via Teams, telefoon of op locatie.
  • Regelmatig intern overleg met sales-collega's en andere afdelingen.
  • Communicatie met internationale leveranciers (voornamelijk Engelstalig).
  • Marktinformatie delen, verbeterkansen signaleren en bijdragen aan een optimale service.
  • Het is een functie met evenwicht tussen technisch denkwerk en commerciële verantwoordelijkheid.
  • Ongeveer 70 % van je tijd besteed je op kantoor in overleg, calculaties en opvolging 30 % aan klantcommunicatie of externe meetings.

Wat wordt er van jou verwacht?

  • Bachelor of master (of gelijkwaardig denkniveau door ervaring) in een technische richting.
  • Minstens 2 jaar ervaring in technische sales of een gelijkaardige commerciële functie.
  • Nederlandstalig met zeer goede kennis van Engels, en goede kennis Frans.
  • Sterk technisch inzicht, leergierig en nauwkeurig in berekeningen en offertes.
  • Communicatief, klantgericht en betrouwbaar in opvolging.
  • Geen snelle verkoper, maar iemand die advies en maatwerk belangrijk vindt.

De functie bestrijkt heel België, met focus op Vlaanderen (±70%).

Je werkt hoofdzakelijk vanuit de hoofdzetel maar thuiswerk is bespreekbaar.
