Wat ga je doen? (Voorbeeldsituatie)

In een chemische productieomgeving worden grondstoffen en chemicaliën via leidingen naar reactoren en opslagtanks geleid. Als Technical Support Engineer ben jij het eerste technische aanspreekpunt wanneer een klant belt of mailt met een vraag rond zijn proces of installatie.

Je maakt een eerste technische inschatting en adviseert over geschikte industriële afsluiters, regelkleppen en automatisatie, rekening houdend met parameters zoals medium, druk, temperatuur en veiligheid. Je vertaalt deze analyse naar technisch onderbouwde offertes en volgt deze verder op.

Dagelijks heb je contact met bedrijven uit de chemie, petrochemie en industrie. Wanneer een toepassing complexer is of diepgaande analyse vereist, werk je nauw samen met de Sales Engineers, die ter plaatse bij de klant gaan.

Occasioneel ga je mee op klantenbezoek om installaties en processen beter te begrijpen en je technische expertise verder uit te bouwen. Samen met je collega's werk je aan maatwerkoplossingen die bijdragen aan veilige, betrouwbare en efficiënte industriële processen.

Je bent een probleemoplosser met sterke technische nieuwsgierigheid, nauwkeurig, klantgericht en relationeel. Techniek en inhoud staan centraal in deze rol, niet pure verkoop.

Wat wordt er van jou verwacht?

  • Technische opleiding (A2 of A1), zoals elektromechanica, mechanica, procestechnologie, chemie of aanverwante richtingen.
  • Nederlands is uitstekend en je hebt een goede kennis van Engels (Frans is een plus).
  • Je denkt analytisch en probleemoplossend en wil begrijpen waarom iets werkt
  • Je communiceert vlot met klanten en collega's, ook over technische topics
  • Je werkt graag samen en schakelt vlot met de Sales Engineers en collega's

Je hoeft geen specialist te zijn bij opstart: via opleiding en begeleiding groei je stap voor stap uit tot een expert voor klanten.
