The posting

Network Optimization Analyst

Reports to: Network Optimization Manager

Position Summary

The Network Optimization Analyst supports the Network Optimization Manager and Logistics Engineer by maintaining the data, configurations, reporting tools, and operational processes that enable transportation network design and fleet optimization. The role translates engineering strategies into execution through route governance, delivery-day administration, model-input maintenance, performance analysis, scenario support, and implementation of approved changes. The Analyst also develops governed dashboards, scorecards, and drill-down reporting for operational and leadership teams, helping improve service, capacity utilization, route efficiency, data quality, and consistency.

Essential Job Functions

Network Data and Route Governance

  • Maintain customer assignments, route codes, delivery days, route descriptions, route structures, and related transportation master data
  • Validate network change requests and ensure updates are accurate, documented, communicated, and completed on time
  • Review and correct configuration issues affecting service, dock flow, warehouse staging, routing, or operational execution

Network Analytics and Engineering Support

  • Support route optimization, network modeling, fleet-capacity analysis, mapping, and operational scenario development
  • Analyze delivery-day adherence, route utilization, route density, demand, service, capacity, cost, and fleet performance
  • Validate transportation data across SAP TM, reporting platforms, trackers, and source systems; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Translate model outputs and operational findings into clear observations, recommendations, and implementation actions

Planning, Implementation, and Continuous Improvement

  • Support implementation of approved route, delivery-frequency, customer-assignment, and network configuration changes
  • Develop holiday, inventory, and recovery schedules, including alternate delivery-day recommendations and post-event reviews
  • Participate in system testing, training, change management, and deployment of transportation tools and processes

Reporting and Cross-Functional Support

  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and reports for operational and executive KPI monitoring
  • Develop Tableau Prep flows, calculated fields, transformations, joins, unions, and scheduled refreshes
  • Validate dashboard results against SAP TM and other sources; resolve data, refresh, calculation, and reporting issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in transportation, routing, fleet operations, logistics analytics, supply chain operations, or network optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including pattern identification, root-cause analysis, and translating data into action.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and presentation tools; experience with dashboards, data preparation, or business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain data accuracy, document work, and communicate with operational and leadership audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Transportation Management or comparable transportation and routing systems
  • Hands-on Tableau and Tableau Prep experience, including dashboard and data-flow development, calculated fields, joins, validation, and scheduled refreshes; SQL, Python, Power BI, Alteryx, Coupa, or GIS is a plus
  • Knowledge of route optimization, final-mile delivery, fleet utilization, delivery scheduling, distribution-center processes, and transportation KPIs
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, or related quality and process-improvement practices

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
