  • Manage accurate field-to-office data transfer, including complete field notes, sketches, photographs, point coding, electronic data files, documentation, and data verification to support timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment including robotic Total Stations, GPS/GNSS units, digital levels, and electronic data collectors; review and process field data and coordinate with office staff in support of mapping and other survey deliverables.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Associate’s degree in surveying or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of field surveying experience, including Party Chief responsibilities
  • Experience performing NYSDOT Design Surveys, including topographic, ROW/property, utility, drainage, control, and transportation corridor surveys, strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 10 and/or work-zone traffic control experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with MicroStation/InRoads or ORD, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, Traverse PC, MicroSurvey, or other survey-processing/CAD software is a plus
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely perform survey work along active highways, roadways, and other transportation corridors
  • LSIT and/or demonstrated progress toward professional licensure preferred

What you’ll receive in return:

  • A base salary of $60,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience, plus prevailing wage rates when applicable.
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance.
  • 401K with company match.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
