The posting

Company Description

We’re Jetstar. You may know us for our famous low fares, but did you also know that we’ve flown more than 400 million customers since we launched in Australia in 2004? In fact, each week we operate around 3,000 flights to nearly 40 destinations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific. We also operate a fleet of more than 80 aircraft, including state-of-the-art Airbus A320/21 NEO aircraft and the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787-8s. Every day we enable more people to takeoff to more places, more often.

Impressive numbers? What's even more impressive is the team of extraordinary people taking off together day in day out, flight after flight.

Our people are the real jet stars!

Job Description

  • Help shape where, when and how Jetstar flies
  • Influence major network, capacity and route decisions across the airline
  • Join a highly visible commercial team with exposure to senior stakeholders

Love travel and passionate about all things aviation? You're in the right place. At Jetstar, you get to takeoff at work, and in life.

As a team, we're lucky we get to do both for a living, and we want you to be part of where we go next. With many opportunities across our network and an evolving aviation landscape, we're looking for a commercially minded analyst to help shape the future of our airline.

Takeoff with your next opportunity

We are seeking a Networks Analyst to join our Network Planning team, reporting to the Network Manager, Jetstar Domestic.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, highly specialised team responsible for some of Jetstar's most important commercial decisions. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Scheduling, Operations and the broader Qantas Group, you'll provide analysis and recommendations that directly influence capacity deployment, route performance, schedule changes and future growth opportunities.

Unlike many analyst roles, the work you produce will have a visible impact on how the airline operates. From evaluating new route opportunities and network growth initiatives to assessing major schedule changes and aircraft allocation decisions, your analysis will help shape Jetstar's future flying program.

As a Networks Analyst, your focus will include:

  • Analysing network performance and identifying opportunities to optimise profitability
  • Supporting capacity planning decisions across the domestic network
  • Evaluating route performance and future network opportunities
  • Developing business cases for new routes, network initiatives and strategic projects
  • Modelling seasonal demand trends and assessing future growth opportunities
  • Providing commercial recommendations on aircraft deployment and schedule changes
  • Partnering with Scheduling, Revenue Management, Operations and Finance teams to support decision making
  • Building analytical models and tools that improve network planning outcomes
  • Presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the business

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial curiosity and strategic thinking.

You will ideally bring:

  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets
  • The ability to translate analysis into meaningful commercial recommendations
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgement
  • Confidence communicating insights to a range of stakeholder groups
  • Experience developing financial models, business cases or strategic recommendations
  • A proactive and inquisitive approach to solving complex business problems
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • The ability to work independently while managing competing priorities

Candidates from commercial analytics, finance, consulting, revenue management, aviation, strategy or other analytically focused environments are encouraged to apply.

Aviation experience is advantageous but not essential. More important is your ability to think critically, solve problems and use data to support business decisions.

Your life at Jetstar is unlike any other

Takeoff professionally: Gain exposure to strategic decision-making and high-profile commercial projects that influence the future direction of Jetstar.

Make a real impact: See your analysis directly translated into decisions that affect aircraft deployment, network growth and customer outcomes.

Get onboard with Qantas Group: Access exciting career opportunities across Jetstar, Qantas and the broader Group.

Live the travel dream: Enjoy heavily discounted flights and travel benefits for you and your nominated travel companions.

Work with great people: Join a collaborative and high-performing team that values curiosity, innovation and continuous improvement.

There's a place for everyone at Jetstar: We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive.

We're Jetstar. Let's takeoff together.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
