CNC Machinist / Programmer

Job Type: Full-Time Starting Pay: Up to $33/hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week Temp-to-Hire: Potential opportunity after 90 days

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment for the production of industrial components. The ideal candidate is comfortable working to very tight tolerances, reading technical drawings, and using precision measurement equipment in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret shop drawings and machining specifications.
  • Develop CNC programs and perform machine setup for CNC lathes and mills.
  • Operate CNC equipment and make adjustments as needed during production.
  • Work to extremely tight tolerances, including measurements as close as 0.0005 inch.
  • Program using G-code with controls such as Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain. Experience with every control is not required.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
  • Maintain consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Follow safe work practices in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and a professional work ethic.
  • Work the required schedule, including Saturday hours when scheduled.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and machining drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of precision machining and dimensional inspection.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work the required schedule.
