Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator

Location: Hanover, PA Shift: 1st Shift Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay: Up to $25.00/hour (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

The Misc. Metals Fabricator will fabricate and assemble stairs, ladders, and other miscellaneous metal components while working from blueprints and shop drawings. This role involves layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing using a variety of fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble stairs, ladders, and miscellaneous metal components according to blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, welders, and grinders.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, shop tickets, and specifications.
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing of metal components.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure work meets company and client standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other fabricators to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist with troubleshooting fabrication issues and developing practical solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in metal fabrication, particularly miscellaneous steel.
  • Experience with FCAW welding; certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between jobs as priorities change.
