Job Description

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping activities and maintain effective communication with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and other departments.
  • Monitor and update guest room status accurately in the Opera PMS.
  • Follow up on room readiness, vacant/occupied rooms, priority rooms, VIP rooms, and out-of-order rooms.
  • Receive, record, coordinate, and follow up on guest requests related to housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate daily housekeeping reports, records, and checklists.
  • Communicate room discrepancies between Housekeeping and Front Office and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisors regarding room assignments, cleaning progress, and special requests.
  • Record and follow up on maintenance issues in coordination with the Engineering Department.
  • Maintain proper records of lost and found items and housekeeping-related guest requests.
  • Handle telephone calls, messages, and internal communications professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks.
  • Prepare reports and provide accurate information to the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
  • Ensure all guest requests and departmental communications are followed up promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when handling guest and hotel information.
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures, SOPs, hygiene standards, and 5-star service standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Housekeeping Desk, Housekeeping Coordinator, or similar hotel operations position, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Good computer knowledge, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Opera PMS is required.
  • Good understanding of hotel housekeeping operations and room status procedures.
  • Experience coordinating with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other hotel departments.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate daily reports.
  • Good telephone etiquette and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to handle guest requests efficiently and follow up until completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
