The posting

Job Description:

Role: Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Camera & Smart Devices

Location: Shenzhen, China

Reporting to: CTO / Head of Product (India)

About Client:

Our client is one of India’s leading smart device brands spanning Home Security, Auto Security (India’s #1 dashcam brand), and emerging Smart Appliances. They design products end-to-end with strong in-house firmware, cloud, app, and AI capabilities, partnering with best-in-class ODMs in China for hardware execution.

About Role:

To act as our client’s on-ground technical owner in China, driving ODM-led product development, improving NPI predictability, and tracking component and technology trends ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end execution of camera product programs (EVT → DVT → PVT → MP)
  • Act as technical interface between our client and ODMs, SoC vendors, module suppliers
  • Drive issue resolution across hardware, firmware, optics, RF, power, and Wi-Fi performance
  • Track trends in sensors, ISP , connectivity (Wi-Fi / 4G), and cost-down opportunities
  • Support manufacturing readiness, quality, and cost control

Target Candidate Profile:

  • 8–15 years of experience in camera / IoT / smart hardware development
  • Mandatory hands-on experience in Wi-Fi camera products** (home security cameras, doorbells, PTZ cameras)
  • Strong ODM-facing experience in Shenzhen / Dongguan
  • Background in Tuya ecosystem, Imou, Ezviz, Dahua, Hikvision, Xiaomi, TP-Link, or similar
  • Deep understanding of sensors, optics, ISP , Wi-Fi stack, and camera SoCs
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

What This Role Is Not:

  • This is not a sourcing-only, QA-only, or junior coordination role. This is a senior execution and ownership role.

Success Metrics (12–18 Months)

  • 20–30% improvement in NPI predictability
  • Fewer late-stage design changes
  • Improved camera performance and Wi-Fi reliability consistency
  • Stronger ODM accountability

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
