The posting

About The Role:

This role sits within the team responsible for the day-to-day operation of Proximus' television platform and the associated backend services that deliver TV content to customers. Although the platform is built on the Accenture Video Solutions (AVS) technology stack, the position goes beyond supporting a specific application. The primary focus is ensuring the end-to-end availability, stability, and performance of the TV service experienced by customers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring and operating critical TV backend systems on a daily basis. - Participating in an on-call (guard duty) rotation to ensure service continuity and rapid incident response. - Performing preventive maintenance activities, software updates, and platform health checks. - Troubleshooting and coordinating the resolution of incidents across multiple technology domains. - Driving continuous improvements in operational processes, automation, monitoring, and service reliability. - Working closely with vendors, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to maintain agreed service levels and KPIs.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational and troubleshooting skills with a service-oriented mindset. They are comfortable working in a complex technical ecosystem, taking ownership of issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously looking for ways to improve service quality and operational efficiency. The team culture is based on collaboration, accountability, agile ways of working, and continuous improvement.

In one sentence A hands-on operational role focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of a large-scale IPTV/streaming platform, combining service operations, incident management, maintenance, and continuous service improvement.

Experience: 5 to 10+ years

Your Profile: For this type of role, we are looking less for a pure video-platform specialist and more for someone with the right operational mindset and technical foundation.

Strong Operational Ownership - Takes responsibility for incidents until resolution. - Proactively identifies risks before customers are impacted. - Comfortable working in an environment where service availability is the top priority. - Understands the impact of technical issues on the customer experience.

2. 3. Technical Breadth The ideal candidate does not need to be an expert in all areas, but should be comfortable with: - Linux/Unix environments - Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls) - Application support and monitoring - APIs and web services - Log analysis and troubleshooting tools - Cloud and virtualization technologies - Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) as a plus

4. Reliability Engineering Mindset - Interested in preventing incidents rather than only resolving them. - Looks for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks. - Focuses on monitoring, alerting, process improvement and operational excellence. - Drives continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Ability to Work Under Pressure - Remains calm during major incidents and service outages. - Can prioritize effectively during high-impact situations. - Makes data-driven decisions during crisis management. - Comfortable participating in on-call/guard duty rotations.

6. Collaboration and Communication - Strong team player. - Can communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Works well with offshore teams, vendors, engineering teams and management. - Shares knowledge openly and supports colleagues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
