Who We're Looking For

The Benefits Analyst supports the administration, analysis, and day-to-day operation of the company’s employee benefits programs, including leave, and retirement. In this role you will be the main point of contact for benefits-related questions, ensure accurate and compliant processing of enrollments and changes, and provide data and analysis that help the Total Rewards team make informed decisions about our benefits programs. You will work closely with HR colleagues, external vendors and carriers, managers, and business leaders to ensure our programs are competitive, effective, and compliant.

What You'll Do:

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Administer day-to-day benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k)/retirement savings, wellness, etc.), including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Process qualifying life events and open enrollment changes, confirming selections are entered accurately in the system and required paperwork is collected.
  • Administer leave of absence programs and resolve benefits claims related to disability, parental leave, and other leaves.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, explaining coverage options and resolving issues.
  • Maintain employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.

Vendor & Carrier Coordination

  • Serve as liaison between the company and benefits carriers, consultants, and third-party administrators to gather data and understand plan dynamics.
  • Submit enrollment files and data feeds (EDI) to carriers and resolve feed errors.
  • Audit and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and carrier billings.
  • Research and respond to escalated customer service issues with third-party administrators.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, and COBRA.
  • Assist with ACA reporting and compliance tracking and support COBRA administration and notifications.
  • Prepare and file required reports; maintain documentation for audits and government filings.

Open Enrollment Support

  • Help coordinate and execute the annual open enrollment process.
  • Prepare employee communications, guides, and educational materials.
  • Test and troubleshoot enrollment systems and portals.

Data, HRIS & Analysis

  • Obtain reports on benefits participation, costs, utilization, and trends in benefits usage.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefits, demographic, and assignment data in the HRIS; identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
  • Research industry and employment trends, benchmark best practices, and track legislation and its potential impact.
  • Gather employee feedback (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to help inform benefit program recommendations.

Employee Education & Communication

  • Conduct benefits orientations for new hires.
  • Create and distribute communications on benefits programs, including announcements, FAQs, guides, and reference materials.
  • Communicate benefit changes, updates, and deadlines to employees.
  • Educate and provide guidance to HR team members, managers, and employees on benefits processes and on new HRIS processes and tools.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–3+ years of benefits experience, including exposure to HRIS and benefits administration.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws and regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA).
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (UKG experience preferred), including workflows, permissions, and processes.
  • Familiarity with benefits EDI/data feeds and resolving errors.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to run reports and interpret data.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills for employee-facing interactions.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with some latitude for judgment on assignments of increasing complexity, under moderate supervision.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
