JOB SUMMARY:
Performs professional duties in one or more student services program areas at an institution of higher education.
JOB DUTIES:
10% OTHER DUTIES: Participate in appropriate workshops, university meeting, and other requirements as assigned.

50% ACADEMIC ADVISING: Advisor and mentor for undergraduate students in (or looking to come into) Pre-Business. Provides support to those students seeking additional academic information, college engagement opportunities, various university support services, and success strategies. Also support, as needed, departmental faculty academic advisors. Maintain appropriate background information/files on services provided. 

30% SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Lead coordinator for a program essential to the operation of the COB Academic Advising Center, such as Bridge, Exploring Majors, Retention Programs. Participate in appropriate workshops and university meetings in relation to the assigned program. 

10% STUDENT SERVICES: Participate in Freshmen and Transfer Orientation programs. Will also participate in the CUBS Living and Learning Community program as needed. Will need to participate in other occasional activities, such as Recruitment or Admission events for the College.

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Expected Salary Range
42000 - 45000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Essential Support - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is necessary to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
