Position Overview The Plant Labourer & Equipment supports the safe and efficient operation of RM Mobile’s batch plant located a major project in Sturgeon County. The role handles general labour, site housekeeping, and plant support tasks that keep concrete production running smoothly. It also assists with the mobilization and demobilization of plant equipment between projects. The ideal candidate is a reliable, hardworking team player with a safety-first mindset who is comfortable working outdoors in changing site conditions. Responsibilities
Perform general labour and housekeeping around the batch plant and site, including shoveling, sweeping, and clearing debris and spilled material. Assist the batcher and loader operator with day-to-day production activities as directed. Safely operate skid steers, loaders, and other small equipment as needed. Clean the batch plant, mixers, conveyors, hoppers, and surrounding work areas to keep equipment and walkways clear and safe. Help with receiving, loading, and unloading materials, tools, and supplies at the plant using equipment and manually. Assist with routine equipment maintenance such as greasing, lubricating, and cleaning under the direction of site supervision or tradespeople. Support the setup, teardown, and relocation of the mobile batch plant, including rigging, assembly, and securing components. Assist with basic quality control tasks, such as collecting concrete samples, as directed. Report equipment issues, hazards, and incidents promptly to site supervision. Participate in all safety initiatives, including wearing PPE, attending safety meetings, completing hazard assessments, reporting incidents, and following safe work practices and procedures in accordance with Alberta OHS legislation and RMC's Safety Program. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract. Previous general labour or construction experience is preferred; experience at a concrete plant is an asset. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform physically demanding work for extended periods. First Aid training is preferred. CSTS certification and WHMIS training are an asset.

Hours of Work Hours of work will vary based on project requirements, typically 8–12-hour shifts, and can include a combination of day shift, afternoon shift or night shift. Work Environment
Outdoor work in varying Alberta weather conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise. Work at active construction and project sites alongside heavy equipment and mixer trucks.
Physical Demands
The position is physical in nature and requires bending, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods of time. Materials are heavy and cumbersome. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
