The posting

We are seeking an experienced and proactive SAP BI Technical Lead to take technical ownership and help drive the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of our enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. You would join our team in Poznań or Warsaw.

Your role

The role has a particular focus on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere, within an analytics landscape where SAP BW on HANA remains a core technology foundation.

The role combines hands-on technical expertise with solution ownership, technical guidance, operational support and participation in larger projects. You will work closely with the Product Manager, business stakeholders, architects and other technology teams to ensure that our BI solutions are reliable, maintainable and aligned with business needs and architectural direction.

What you would be doing

Solution ownership and technical leadership

  • Take technical ownership of BI solutions across SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere and SAP BW on HANA throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the BI team, including mentoring and hands-on support.
  • Perform solution assessments, design reviews and sanity checks, with focus on performance, scalability and system footprint.
  • Define and promote best practices, design principles and development standards for the BI landscape.
  • Secure solution designs and technical roadmaps in close cooperation with the architecture team.
  • Provide expert-level (3rd-level) support for complex incidents, ensuring effective root-cause analysis and resolution.
  • Support the Product Manager with technical input on priorities, estimates, risks and delivery planning.
  • Act as SAP BW technical lead in large-scale ERP and supply chain transformation projects
  • Proactively identify functional and technical enhancements by analyzing business processes and systems, identifying inefficiencies and documenting processes and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of developments in SAP BI and analytics (e.g. SAC, Datasphere, Business Data Cloud) and assess their relevance for our landscape.

Platform operations and governance

  • Coordinate regularly with SAP Basis on system health, planned activities and dependencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement of system stability and performance based on SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) findings and monitoring.
  • Plan and coordinate regular upgrades, support packages and patches across the BI landscape.
  • Support SAP license audits and system measurements.
  • Own the BI authorization concept, including role design and maintenance for SAP BW and related reporting tools.
  • Ensure appropriate technical documentation, solution quality, maintainability and operational readiness.

Knowledge sharing and community

  • Facilitate training and knowledge sharing for colleagues across business units and locations.
  • Deliver regular updates to the SAC user community on new features, roadmap changes and best practices.

What you bring

You are a proactive, structured and solution-oriented professional who combines strong technical judgment with a high degree of ownership. You identify risks, dependencies and opportunities early and take initiative to bring issues forward and drive them towards resolution.

You communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate complex technical matters into clear business language. You enjoy working across organizational boundaries, building constructive relationships and helping others succeed through guidance and knowledge sharing.

You are comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, balancing immediate operational needs with longer-term technical improvements. You demonstrate sound judgment, work independently and take responsibility for the quality and sustainability of the solutions within your area.

Professional Competencies

  • Solid technical experience with SAP BW on HANA / SAP BW and an understanding of enterprise BW architectures and dependencies.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, maintaining and troubleshooting business-critical BI solutions.
  • Experience providing technical guidance, reviewing solution designs and ensuring technical quality and maintainability.
  • Good understanding of data modelling, analytics architectures, integration patterns and enterprise data management principles.
  • Experience working with architects, SAP Basis and other technology teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating technical choices to business stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including solution development, data modelling and integration.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, including data modelling, data integration and solution design.
  • Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects, Analysis for Office and/or SAP BPC is an advantage.
  • Relevant higher education in IT, computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
