In this role, you'll oversee the people, processes, and infrastructure that support patient care, research, and administrative operations across campus.

As a key member of the Facilities team, you'll help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and utility equipment that operate around the clock. You'll also lead a team of Facilities Systems Engineers, support regulatory compliance initiatives, drive operational improvements, and help maintain the critical systems that allow a world-class cancer center to function every day.

The starting annual salary for this position is $77,532 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.

What You'll Do: As a Facilities Systems Engineer Supervisor, you will: Lead the daily operation of the central utility plant and mechanical systems serving clinical, research, and administrative facilities. Oversee the operation, inspection, and maintenance of boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, and related equipment. Serve as a technical resource for Facilities staff, contractors, consultants, project teams, and organizational leadership. Support environmental compliance and regulatory reporting activities. Participate in facility improvement projects, committees, and strategic initiatives as the utility plant operations representative. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and organizational policies. Assist with maintaining plant facilities, grounds, fuel storage areas, and operational workspaces in a safe and efficient condition.

What You'll Bring: We're looking for a motivated leader who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for operational excellence and team development.

Successful candidates will have experience with: Central utility plant operations and large-scale mechanical systems. Boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, compressors, and related utility infrastructure. Supervising, coaching, and developing technical or operations teams. Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical or operational issues. Preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives. Regulatory compliance, environmental standards, and workplace safety practices. Budget management, inventory control, and purchasing processes. Analyzing operational data to improve performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

You'll thrive in this role if you are: A collaborative and supportive leader who enjoys developing others. Calm under pressure and able to make informed decisions during critical situations. Passionate about safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities. Comfortable working across departments and building strong partnerships. Dedicated to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.

Why You'll Love Working Here: At Roswell Park, every employee plays an important role in advancing our mission to eliminate cancer's grip on humanity through research, education, prevention, and patient care.

When you join our team, you'll enjoy: Meaningful work that supports a nationally recognized cancer center and the patients we serve. Ongoing opportunities for professional growth and career development. The chance to work alongside skilled professionals who are committed to excellence. A mission-driven culture where your contributions make a measurable impact every day.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
