The posting
Plan maintenance for a high-utilisation aeromedical fleet of PC-24 jets, PC-12 turboprops and EC145 helicopters. Sit at the centre of Engineering, CAMO, Logistics and Flight Operations, with a direct line to aircraft availability. A genuine pathway into senior maintenance planning as part of our engineering succession plan. Full-time, permanent position based at Jandakot with free onsite parking.
About the team RFDS WA Engineering keeps 17 Pilatus PC-12s (including the new PC-12 PRO), three PC-24 jets and our EC145 helicopters flying from Jandakot and regional maintenance sites in Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie, Meekatharra and soon Geraldton. Our Planning team decides when and how that work happens, so that every aircraft gets the maintenance it needs with the least possible time out of service. About the role
Build and maintain forward maintenance schedules and rolling forecasts for aircraft and engines, tracking hours, cycles, calendar limits and component lives with our CAMO. Work with LAMEs, Technical Services and Logistics to scope each maintenance event, validate labour estimates and have people, parts and tooling ready before the aircraft arrives. Agree maintenance windows with Flight Operations, set realistic return-to-service dates and lead the recovery plan when things change.
About you
Proven experience in aircraft maintenance planning or scheduling in an airline, charter, business aviation, helicopter or MRO environment. Strong working knowledge of aircraft and engine maintenance, continuing airworthiness and downtime, built alongside LAMEs rather than at a distance from them. Comfortable working across Engineering, CAMO, Logistics and Operations, with the credibility to challenge an estimate and the judgement to know when to escalate. Experience with an aviation maintenance management system such as AMOS, TRAX or CAMP. An aviation engineering trade background or CASA Part 66 licence is highly regarded.
