About Our Family

We’re a busy, close-knit family with four boys ranging from toddler to early elementary age, so there’s never a dull moment in our house! We thrive on routine and love a good system — lists are our love language, and everything from the pantry to the toy room to the laundry has its place. We’ve found that a little structure goes a long way in keeping our home running smoothly and our boys feeling settled. We have the systems in place; now we’re looking for someone who can help us keep them humming along.

We’re fortunate to already have wonderful support, including a weekly cleaning crew, a meal prep chef, and involved grandparents nearby. What we’re missing is that extra set of hands during the busiest parts of the day, especially in the evenings, when four little boys and everything that comes with family life can make things feel a little hectic. One parent takes the lead on managing the home and keeping all the moving pieces organized, while the other works long hours and travels regularly. Even when we’re both home, having someone who can jump in, tag-team the chaos, and help everyone get where they need to be makes a world of difference.

At our core, we’re a warm, fun-loving family who enjoys laughing together. The boys are affectionate, energetic, and full of personality, and we want the person who joins our household to feel genuinely welcomed and valued as part of the team. We believe in treating people well and recognize the difference great support makes. We’re hoping to find someone who takes pride in what they do, enjoys being part of a family’s daily rhythm, and feels good about the impact they make in helping our home run a little more smoothly.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You're the kind of person who walks into a room and notices what needs to be done — and just does it. You don't wait to be asked. You bring warmth and patience to everything you do with kids, and the boys can tell you actually like being around them. You're comfortable with a household that runs on structure, and you thrive when there's a clear system to follow. You take constructive feedback in stride and see it as part of doing the job well. You're friendly and easy to be around, but you're also comfortable working alongside someone in comfortable silence — you don't need constant conversation to feel connected. You're the kind of person who wants to stay, build trust over time, and genuinely invest in a family's day-to-day wellbeing. Ideally, you bring an active, nurturing energy — the kind of person who can throw a football in the backyard and then come inside and fold laundry without missing a beat. Experience with children in a nanny, teaching, or family support role is a real plus. You understand that enforcing household rules and routines is part of the job, and you do it with warmth and consistency. This is a role for someone who sees the work as meaningful and takes pride in doing it well.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support

  • Provide childcare support and light supervision during evening hours
  • Assist with and help manage the bedtime routine — bath, pajamas, wind-down
  • Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks; wash water bottles and lunch boxes daily
  • Walk children to nearby activities such as playing at the park or football practice
  • Reinforce household rules and behavior expectations with warmth and consistency
  • Support packing and unpacking for family travel (children's items)
  • Provide occasional overnight coverage when parents travel with the help of the family support system

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Maintain the household organization systems already in place throughout the home
  • Daily kitchen and toy room resets; prep the home ahead of weekly cleaners
  • Light tidying throughout — dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas
  • Seasonal clothing and décor swaps
  • Coordinate and prepare donation drop-offs
  • Change batteries in children's toys, replace light bulbs or batteries as needed
  • Facilitate and supervise children in resetting outdoor toy areas
  • Manage outdoor spaces — wash deck toys seasonally

Inventory & Errands

  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
  • Maintain running household supply lists via the family's shared Skylight calendar
  • Help manage household orders and subscriptions (Target pickup, Amazon, Sam's Club)
  • Handle Amazon returns and other errands as needed
  • Bring in mail and packages; sort and set aside for the family
  • Put away and organize grocery and bulk store deliveries
  • Break down and dispose of boxes

Meal Support

  • Assist with starting dinner 2–3 evenings per week — primarily heating and plating; occasional simple cooking (e.g., mac and cheese)
  • Wash and prep fresh fruits and vegetables for healthy snacks and meals
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance after meals

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry (the family uses a detailed category system: kids' clothes, pajamas, jerseys, towels, sheets)
  • Put linens out for the cleaning crew to make beds; maintain linen rotation
  • Garment steaming as needed
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well stocked

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Occasional appliance deep cleans (pebble ice maker, coffee maker descaling)
  • Clean and refill humidifiers
  • Refresh mudroom, garage, and entryway as needed
  • Organizational projects such as toy rotation

Pet Care

  • Support feeding and water routines for the family dog (primarily the children's responsibility; candidate helps supervise or step in as needed)
  • Let the dog in and out to the fenced backyard
  • Note when dog food or supplies need restocking

Administrative Support

  • Monitor the household Skylight calendar for upcoming events and needs
  • Research activities and logistics for family trips
  • Assist with receipt tracking using the household credit card

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
