About Our Family

We are a busy, warm family with two young children (ages 1 and 3) and two full-time working parents. Our days move quickly, and we’re looking for a thoughtful partner who can help with the household details that make the biggest difference: a reset kitchen, clean laundry, stocked supplies, and dinner ingredients ready to go.

Our home is active and welcoming, and we value someone who is personable, dependable, and comfortable being part of our daily rhythm. One parent works from home and is happy to be available for questions and guidance. We appreciate a collaborative relationship where we can share preferences, communicate openly, and build routines together.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys noticing what needs attention and taking care of the details that free up more time for our family to be together. Occasional backup childcare may be needed in an emergency, but the primary focus of this role is supporting the household.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are warm, personable, and comfortable working alongside a family in their home. You bring a practical, attentive approach to your work, notice what needs doing, and follow through on the details that keep a household running smoothly.

You enjoy creating order through consistent routines, whether that means resetting the kitchen, keeping laundry moving, making sure groceries are ready for the week, or prepping ingredients for dinner. You listen carefully, learn household preferences, and carry them forward. You’re also comfortable asking questions when something is unclear and communicating openly as priorities shift.

You understand that reliability builds trust and are looking for a long-term position in which you can grow with a family. You enjoy a collaborative working relationship and bring a positive, hands-on attitude to both everyday tasks and occasional organizing projects. We are open to a range of professional backgrounds and value initiative, care, and the ability to learn our household’s rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Reset shared spaces after the morning routine, including breakfast cleanup, dishes, surfaces, and the dishwasher.
  • Tidy children’s rooms and common areas, including toys and other daily clutter.
  • Lightly vacuum high-traffic areas and prepare the home for visits from the cleaning service.
  • Create and maintain practical organization systems suited to the family’s preferences.
  • Change the diaper pail and handle simple household needs, such as replacing light bulbs, as needed.
  • Prepare and coordinate occasional donation drop-offs.
  • Provide access to scheduled service providers, including the house cleaner and pest control.

Meal Support

  • Select and plan approximately four vegetarian meals per week using the family’s recipe binder and preferred process.
  • Collaborate with parents to create and maintain grocery lists, shop for ingredients and household staples, and put groceries away.
  • Prepare ingredients during the day, including washing, chopping, and organizing items for dinner. A parent will complete the cooking.
  • Clean and reset the kitchen after food preparation.

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, dry, fold, organize, and put away clothing for the household.
  • Occasional ironing, steaming and/or special garment care.
  • Change and wash children’s linens weekly.
  • Keep the laundry area tidy and stocked with supplies, as needed.

Inventory & Errands

  • Monitor and restock pantry, refrigerator, and household supplies.
  • Maintain running lists of groceries and household essentials.
  • Assist with returns, pharmacy runs, dry cleaning, postal drop-offs, and curbside pickups.
  • Occasional sorting and taking outgrown children’s clothing to a consignment shop.
  • Receive and open packages, remove tags from approved clothing, sort mail, and discard junk mail, as time allows.
  • Break down boxes and manage recycling as needed.

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Complete occasional detailed cleaning projects, including the refrigerator, oven, and appliance interiors (e.g. descale coffee maker).
  • Reorganize spaces such as the pantry, hall closet, and entryway.
  • Help sort and organize children’s toys, clothing, and gear.

Family Support

  • Provide occasional backup childcare or assist with pickups and drop-offs in an emergency.

Vehicle Upkeep

  • Assist with occasional family vehicle maintenance as needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
