Finance Manager – FP&A & Deals

## Job Summary The Finance Manager – FP&A & Deals plays a pivotal role in Warner Music India & South Asia’s strategic and commercial decision-making processes. Responsible for driving budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics, this role supports deal evaluations related to artist signings, catalogue acquisitions, and new business initiatives. The position combines financial modeling with business storytelling to translate data into actionable insights, ensuring investments are financially sound and aligned with long-term value creation.

## Responsibilities - Support the preparation and presentation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans. - Develop and maintain predictive financial models across multiple revenue streams. - Partner with business teams to build deal models, evaluate investments using IRR/NPV/payback metrics, and assist in deal memo preparation. - Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess risks, upside potential, and market-driven changes. - Track deal performance through post-investment analysis, comparing actuals versus projections, and deriving actionable insights. - Deliver monthly performance reports with variance analysis and business-focused commentary. - Establish and monitor financial guardrails to optimize allocation of marketing, content investments, and other expenditures. - Collaborate with royalties, accounting, and data teams to track recoupment, content lifecycle performance, and ROI. - Drive automation and dashboarding initiatives in partnership with data/tech teams to enable real-time insights. - Conduct market and industry analysis to benchmark performance and support strategic decisions. - Manage ad hoc analysis and financial data requests, providing insights as needed.

## Qualifications - 4 to 7 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance roles. - Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel. - Experience working with large datasets and deriving insights under tight timelines. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to structure ambiguous business situations. - Effective communication skills to translate complex financial data into clear business insights. - Educational qualifications such as BTech, BSc, MBA, or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or related fields.

## Preferred Skills - Experience in media, entertainment, music, digital content, OTT, or consumer tech industries. - Understanding of streaming economics, digital monetization models, and content lifecycle dynamics. - Exposure to evaluation, investment analysis, or commercial strategy roles. - Experience working with BI tools or leading reporting automation initiatives.

## Experience - 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in finance roles related to business, FP&A, or commercial analysis. - Prior experience in the media or entertainment industry is a plus.

## Environment This role is based in Mumbai, India, and may involve working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The position requires high ownership, accountability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data, royalties, and accounting departments.
