The posting
Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Director, Strategic Accounts & Segments within the United States. Candidates based near a Schneider Electric hub or center of excellence are preferred, but this is not required. Given the national scope of the role and travel expectations, candidates should also be based near a major airport with convenient access to domestic travel. The Digital Power Strategic Accounts Organization (SAO) owns commercial accountability for Schneider Electric’s most strategic Digital Power customers, including data centers, power & grid, and named accounts in electro-intensive segments. The team sells across the full Digital Power portfolio: power monitoring hardware, software, systems, and services. The Role This role is for a leader who wants to shape how a growing business goes to market. Digital Power continues to evolve its commercial organization as it moves into Digital Energy. The Director will play a central role in leading that evolution while driving growth in our most strategic accounts. The Director reports to the VP, Digital Power National Sales. They lead a matrixed commercial organization of 30+ people, including sales managers, strategic account sellers, regional account executives, and solution architects. Success means: Growing orders in our largest accounts and building a durable business beyond data centers. Making account ownership and accountability clear. Building repeatable ways to manage accounts, talent, and the business that hold up as the business scales. The role works closely with proximity (regional) sales, Services, offer management, finance, demand planning, and commercial teams across Schneider Electric’s business units. What You’ll Do Own the SAO orders plan, monthly forecast, and full-year commit, using BFO as the system of record. Communicate shifts early, with the reasons and projects behind them. Direct segment and organizational strategy for named strategic accounts, and engage directly with customer executives on the most important pursuits. Lead the SAO through the Digital Energy transition, including Foresight launch readiness and growth in software and recurring revenue. Lead, coach, and develop sales managers and direct-report sellers. Run talent reviews, hiring, and performance management. Set clear roles: sellers own the account and the opportunity. Solution architects lead the technical work as part of the opportunity team and are shielded from administrative work. Make account assignments, quota recommendations, and coverage decisions using data on orders, quotes, and pipeline. Partner with offer management and the business on priorities, pricing guardrails, margin discipline, and readiness for new offers and platform transitions. Set and uphold rules of engagement with Services, Secure Power, and Buildings. This includes ownership of installed-base work, software, and combined power/building opportunities. Drive cross-BU (One Schneider) selling and pull-through in strategic accounts. Ensure accurate order reporting and crediting across the portfolio. Protect and build on the culture that makes Digital Power a place leaders want to grow. What We’re Looking For Proven leader of leaders in a matrixed commercial organization with multiple sales motions. Track record of growing strategic or enterprise accounts through solution and outcome-based selling. Experience designing or implementing coverage models, account segmentation, and incentive plans. Comfort leading through organizational change while still delivering the number. Ability to engage credibly with both technical and executive customer stakeholders. Strong analytical skills; makes decisions from data, not anecdotes. Influence across sales, offer management, Services, finance, and other business units without direct authority. What's in it for me? Own strategic accounts with direct impact on organizational growth and market leadership Access to a global network of experts, resources, and cutting-edge solutions across the full portfolio Shape sales strategy and processes within a purpose-driven company committed to sustainability Career growth opportunities supported by leadership development and continuous learning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership. Minimum 5 years of people leadership, including at least 2–3 years leading frontline sales managers.
