Who We Are Looking For

Charles River Development, a State Street company, is seeking a Vice President of Technical Product Manager to lead a portfolio of platform products that improve client experience, software delivery, and operational efficiency. This hands-on, business-to-technology leadership role is accountable for product strategy, roadmap management, requirements definition, delivery, adoption, lifecycle management, and team leadership across Client deliveries and unified experience for front to middle testing and deployment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Operations, and client-facing teams to translate business, client, and operational needs into scalable platform capabilities. This role requires a senior product leader and people manager who can lead and develop a product management team, operate effectively in an agile delivery model, communicate with technical and business stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes across reliability, automation, usability, and client adoption.

Why this role is important to us

The Charles River Investment Management Solution is a market-leading, end-to-end investment management platform supporting front, middle, and back-office workflows. The Platform Product Management team enables development teams to build with consistent technologies and infrastructure, helps support and operations teams run client environments at expected service levels, and advances the transition to cloud-native approaches.

This role is critical to productizing the capabilities clients use to deploy, operate, and engage with the Charles River platform. The leader will help advance client experience while ensuring platform capabilities meet reliability, automation, security, governance, and service-level expectations.

This role requires hybeid work model - at least 3 days in the office per week.

What you will be responsible for:

Product Strategy and Portfolio Leadership

Own the product vision, multi-year strategy, investment priorities, and integrated roadmap for client-facing platform products, including product customizations, client-facing enablement capabilities, and related operational efficiency workflows.

  • Translate client, business, technical, and operational requirements into standardized platform capabilities, processes, and tools.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a product/engineering team, setting clear priorities, expectations, delivery goals, and accountability for outcomes.
  • Balance client commitments, strategic initiatives, platform modernization, non-functional requirements, technical debt, operational readiness, and engineering capacity.
  • Define and own client-facing enablement products that enable clients to execute platform customizations, consume product readiness requirements, and manage their workflows without operational impacts.
  • Define product measures, cost to serve, telemetry, KPIs, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate adoption, reliability, operational efficiency, and client outcomes.
  • Shape the strategy and roadmap to improve client experience around usability, access to capabilities, operational visibility, and support workflows.
  • Advance AI-assisted client support experiences where they provide measurable client and operational value.
  • Manage a team of business analysts and other product management members for mentorship and administrative tasks

What We Value

These skills and attributes will help you succeed in the role:

  • Strong technical product management experience with engineering practices, including repository integration, pipeline automation, environment promotion, validation, deployment, and release management.

  • Experience building or managing cloud-native technologies and platform capabilities in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to balance technical depth, client needs, operational requirements, and business priorities.
  • Ability to connect business outcomes, client needs, technical architecture, and operational realities.
  • Passion for operational excellence, automation, product quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Clear, credible communication skills with the ability to influence technical teams, business stakeholders, clients, and senior leaders.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to create accountability, manage ambiguity, and drive decisions across organizational boundaries.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with automation, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Azure tenant/infrastructure management concepts and best practices
  • Working knowledge of SQL for ad hoc validation and debugging, with the ability to define telemetry, KPIs, and instrumentation for operational excellence and business reporting.
  • Experience with client portals, digital enablement platforms, product communication workflows.
  • Experience productizing internal capabilities for external or client use in a regulated SaaS environment.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Ten or more years of experience in technical product management, platform engineering, DevOps, SaaS platforms, enterprise software, or related roles, including experience leading enterprise-scale products and managing product teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
