Job Description

Help deliver the products that the world can’t do without. At Stolt Tank Containers, we move bulk-liquid chemicals and food-grade products across land, connecting customers to the markets that matter to them. Join us as an Operations Coordinator.

As the Operations Coordinator, you will manage customer bookings and documentation, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and ensure smooth, safe and compliant logistics operations while supporting Operations Team Leads on various projects and maintaining clear communication with local operational teams.

At Stolt Tank Containers (STC), we move today’s products for tomorrow’s possibilities. With a fleet of more than 56,000 ISO tank containers and a worldwide network of owned and joint-venture depots, we deliver products across land to customers in more than 165 countries. As a division of Stolt-Nielsen, a global leader in the logistics and distribution of bulk liquids, STC is the final link in Stolt-Nielsen’s end-to-end logistics chain, collecting products from storage terminals and ports, and delivering them directly to customers’ doors, wherever they are in the world. We are committed to getting it right every time: safely, reliably and sustainably.

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for efficiently managing interactions with suppliers and customers, handling bookings across multiple channels, and meticulously maintaining operational records while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. Working closely with Operations Team Leads, local operational teams, suppliers, and customers, you will resolve issues, support various projects as they arise, and maintain clear, precise communication to keep STC’s logistics operations running smoothly and in line with STC’s policies, mission, and vision.

Key responsibilities

  • Order Management – Process customer bookings received via various channels (Web, EDI, API & Email), ensuring timely and correct handling of the booking - ensuring KPI’s are met. This includes selecting the optimal ocean carrier (based on cost, speed or sustainability), and communicating vessel/voyage information with the customer.
  • Export Documentation – Punctual and precise handling of shipping instructions in alignment with STC’s quality procedures. Coordinate the accurate processing and distribution of shipping instructions and ensure that any documentation related to additional charges, such as manifest corrections, are advised timely to customers. Follow up with ocean carriers regarding amendments and ensure timely receipt of Bill of Lading. Ensure the system contains all necessary updates and relevant information to successfully ship the container.
  • Import Documentation – Monitor & control the end-to-end process for imports. This includes verifying estimated arrival information, sending documentation to the customer, and create/distribute release instructions to the ocean carriers and terminals.
  • Invoicing – Ensure STC’s billing procedures are executed with precision and efficiency. Issue invoices for additional charges to customer in accordance with STC’s additional charge tariff and/or per customer specific billing requirements.
  • Compliance & Safety – Register events/non-conformities when suppliers fail to meet STC’s and/or customers’ expectations for quality of service. Contribute to the identification of root cause, corrective, and preventive action where necessary. Uphold compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Minor Issue resolution – Identify solutions to minimize disruptions in the logistic process such as delays, route changes, incidents. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings and operational efficiencies, driving continuous improvement initiatives within STC’s operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and with at least 1 year of experience working in a logistics/shipping company in a similar role.
  • Must have a proven record of excellent work quality and accuracy. Must have experience working in an international environment.
  • Fluent in English and preferably 1 regional language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey information to suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate documentation with a keen eye for identifying errors and discrepancies.
  • Ability to actively engage in problem resolution with a capacity to think critically and propose solutions.
  • Desire to continuously acquire new knowledge and skills relevant to the role, with a growth mindset and a commitment to personal development.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary, perk, and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning across a truly global company.
  • A collaborative culture built on pragmatism, shared success, and the freedom to find solutions.
  • The chance to work on meaningful, real-world challenges, from supply chain innovation to sustainable logistics.
  • Hybrid work set-up.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
