Ben jij net zo enthousiast als wij wanneer we praten over de opslag en distributie van bulkvloeistoffen, tankcontainers en terminals? Stolt Tank Containers (STC) Moerdijk is op zoek naar een Tank Cleaner. Stolt Tank Containers is een wereldwijde aanbieder van deur-tot-deur transportdiensten voor bulk-vloeistofchemicaliën en foodgrade producten.

Wat ga je doen? Als Tank Cleaner bij Stolt Moerdijk ben je verantwoordelijk voor het reinigen en inspecteren van tankcontainers. Deze containers zijn vaak gevuld geweest met chemische vloeistoffen zoals olie, diesel en alcohol. De tanks worden met een heftruck op een van de zes banen geplaatst, waarna je via ons computersysteem de orders binnenkrijgt. In de orders staat precies aangegeven welke stof in de tank heeft gezeten, hoe deze gereinigd moet worden, en of het gebruiken van extra veiligheidsmiddelen, zoals een gasmasker, noodzakelijk is wegens gevaarlijke stoffen. Jij selecteert vervolgens het juiste reinigingsprogramma om de tank grondig schoon te maken. Na afloop voer je altijd een inspectie uit, waarbij je samen met een collega de tank ingaat om te controleren of deze volledig schoon is. Indien nodig breng je extra correcties aan, bijvoorbeeld met behulp van een borstel. Wanneer de tank volledig schoon is, wordt deze doorgestuurd naar de afdeling Repair. Het werk is fysiek en vereist dat je fit bent en geen hoogtevrees hebt. De hoeveelheid tanks die binnenkomen varieert per dag: op rustige dagen zijn het er tien, maar op drukke dagen kan dit oplopen tot zestig tanks. Veiligheid staat altijd voorop, ongeacht de werkdruk, daarom neem je hier de benodigde tijd voor en schakel je de hulp van je teamleider in bij twijfel. Je werkt in een team van ongeveer vijf collega’s en een teamleider, waarbij je wisselend een ochtend- of avondshift draait.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden • Reinigen van tankcontainers volgens vastgestelde procedures. • Inspecteren van tankcontainers op eventuele restladingen. • Zorgdragen voor het juiste gebruik en onderhoud van gereedschappen en materialen. • Uitvoeren van verschillende werkzaamheden die relevant zijn voor de functie. • Alle activiteiten uitvoeren in volledige overeenstemming met wettelijke voorschriften, het goedgekeurde SHEQ-beleid (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) en de standaarden van Stolt Tank Containers.

Vereisten • VMBO werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur in een technische of logistieke richting. • Enige werkervaring binnen een industriële omgeving. • Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal is vereist en vloeiend Nederlands heeft de voorkeur, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk. • Sterke focus op veiligheid.
