Assistant General Manager

Home2 Suites by Hilton Duncanville is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and building strong, service-driven teams at every property. We're looking for an Operations Manager / Assistant General Manager who keeps the day-to-day running smoothly and steps up as a leader when it counts.

As Operations Manager / Assistant General Manager, you'll oversee front office, housekeeping, and maintenance to keep the hotel running at its best — and step into the General Manager's shoes when they're not on property. You'll be the steady hand behind daily operations, training, and guest satisfaction, helping the team deliver a great stay every time.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise front office, housekeeping, and maintenance team members, ensuring daily procedures run smoothly and information flows across shifts
  • Interview, hire, train, and coach team members across departments, addressing performance and discipline issues as needed
  • Inspect rooms daily and uphold uniform and service standards throughout the hotel
  • Manage inventory and support the General Manager with budget control and key administration
  • Support sales efforts by reviewing room inventory with the sales team, tracking leads, and stepping in on sales and accounts when the GM or DOS is unavailable
  • Oversee daily hotel operations in the General Manager's absence, including emergency response and guest special requests

Requirements

  • Prior experience in hotel operations, front office, housekeeping, or a related supervisory role
  • Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and managing a team
  • Working knowledge of hotel systems, budgeting, and inventory management
  • Excellent guest service and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment under pressure
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
