The Role: The Driving Force of the Showroom

Sunset Ford has been a cornerstone of the St. Louis community since 1912. We are seeking a high-energy, top-performing Floor Manager who thrives in the heart of the action.

As the Floor Manager, you are the crucial bridge between our sales consultants, the sales desk, and our customers. You will own the showroom floor—managing customer flow, active negotiations, modern digital branding, and on-the-spot coaching. If you are a natural motivator who loves engaging with customers, saving deals on the floor, and driving a modern, high-tech sales strategy, this is your stage.

The Mission: Showroom Excellence, Social Strategy & Sales Leadership

As our Floor Manager, your daily mission is to optimize every customer interaction, elevate team performance, and expand our digital footprint:

  • Showroom Control & Flow: Actively manage showroom traffic, digital leads, and lot walk-ins to ensure prompt, professional engagement with every guest.
  • Social Media & Personal Branding Leader: Train, coach, and empower sales consultants to build their personal brand on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok). Teach the team how to capture engaging video walkarounds, share customer delivery stories, cultivate organic leads, and drive personal referral traffic to the dealership.
  • On-the-Floor Closing & TOs: Intervene early on "Turn Overs" (TOs) to build rapport, overcome customer objections, reinforce trade-in values, and bring deals across the finish line.
  • Sales Consultant Coaching: Mentor sales representatives in real time on active listening, vehicle walkarounds, road testing, and modern video outreach techniques for remote buyers.
  • Desk & F&I Alignment: Work in tight sync with the Sales Desk and F&I Managers to ensure seamless deal transitions, accurate paperwork handoffs, and maximized profitability per unit.
  • Process & CRM Discipline: Enforce consistent CRM logging, digital lead follow-up protocols, and daily social outreach tasks across the entire sales team.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure every guest receives the signature 5-star Sunset Ford treatment from the moment they step onto the showroom floor or contact us online.

What You Bring to the Floor

  • Proven Track Record: At least 2+ years of high-volume automotive sales experience with demonstrated success in floor control, closing, or sales team leadership.
  • Digital & Social Acuity: Strong understanding of social media marketing, content creation, and personal branding within the automotive industry.
  • High-Energy Leadership: Unmatched enthusiasm, presence, and the ability to keep the sales floor motivated and focused throughout the day.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: A master communicator who can de-escalate tension, build trust quickly with customers, and coach team members effectively.
  • Systems Acuity: Proficient with dealership CRM systems, inventory management platforms, and digital sales tracking tools.
  • Uncompromising Integrity: A commitment to honest, transparent business practices—the Sunset Ford way.
