The posting

Company Overview

Founded in 2014, and listed on the ASX since 2015, Superloop’s purpose is to enable better internet for Australian homes and businesses through reimagining how telco should be delivered. We enable challenger retail brands (including Superloop and Exetel brands) to take a larger share of the market, leveraging Superloop’s Infrastructure-on-Demand platform. Superloop provides connectivity and services to customers in three segments of the market: Consumer, Business and Wholesale. Through Smart Communities, we own and operate extensive fibre to the premises (FTTP) and managed Wi-Fi networks that service residential and commercial communities including multi-unit dwellings. Through Neoloop we offer open access to our FTTP networks to other Retail Service Providers. Our offerings leverage Superloop’s investments in physical infrastructure assets that include fibre, subsea cables and fixed wireless, as well as Superloop’s software platforms. Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses rely on Superloop and Exetel every day for their connectivity needs.

Business Unit Overview

Our Business Unit integrates Corporate Development, Infrastructure Delivery, and Smart Communities, and is accountable for driving strategic growth through a combination of acquisition, development, integration, and operations.

Through the Corporate Development function, we identify, assess, and execute strategic investments and M&A opportunities that accelerate our network reach, customer base, and capabilities. This includes full lifecycle responsibility - from origination, due diligence, and transaction execution through to post-acquisition integration.

We lead the design and deployment of FTTP and digital infrastructure into greenfield and smart community environments, partnering with developers and utility partners to enable the connected communities of tomorrow.

Role Purpose

The Project Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the MDU and WiFi delivery portfolio, with accountability for portfolio performance, commercial outcomes, customer commitments, and delivery capability. The role translates business priorities and contracted obligations into an integrated portfolio plan, ensuring the appropriate governance, resources, controls, and leadership are in place to deliver safely, efficiently, and predictably.

The Project Director leads the delivery team, owns portfolio budgets and forecasts, oversees contractual and commercial exposures, and acts as the senior escalation point for material customer, contractor, and project issues. Through strong cross-functional leadership, the role ensures alignment across the complete delivery lifecycle and enables effective decision-making, intervention, and recovery where projects are at risk.

The role also develops the people, processes, systems, and performance measures required to scale MDU and WiFi delivery, improve forecast accuracy, strengthen accountability, and consistently deliver positive customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery performance across the MDU portfolio, including scope, programme, cost, quality, safety, and customer outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated portfolio plan covering milestones, dependencies, resources, financial forecasts, and delivery risks.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Project Delivery Managers and project support functions, ensuring clear accountability and consistent delivery standards.
  • Own portfolio budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete assessments, and commercial performance, including the management of variations and contractual exposures.
  • Lead portfolio governance, executive reporting, assurance reviews, and recovery planning for projects requiring intervention.
  • Act as the senior delivery escalation point for customers, developers, builders, contractors, and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate delivery across Sales, Solutions, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Support.
  • Oversee the complete MDU and WiFi lifecycle, from opportunity handover and design through construction, commissioning, service readiness, and operational handover.
  • Ensure contractor performance, technical quality, safety compliance, defects, documentation, and project acceptance requirements are effectively managed.
  • Define portfolio performance measures and lead continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation across MDU and WiFi delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated senior delivery leadership experience in telecommunications infrastructure, greenfield property development, FTTP, or large-scale MDU/WiFi delivery, with responsibility for geographically dispersed portfolios, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

On Offer

  • Free Home Broadband
  • Free Mobile SIM plan
  • Flexibility – 3 days/week in the office
  • Lunch on Wednesdays, snacks, donuts and more!
  • Diverse and inclusive culture
  • Gain skills and build relationships to succeed in the telco and tech industries, at Superloop and beyond.

At Superloop, we’re dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be who they are. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
