The posting

Company Overview

Founded in 2014, and listed on the ASX since 2015, Superloop’s purpose is to enable better internet for Australian homes and businesses through reimagining how telco should be delivered. We enable challenger retail brands (including Superloop and Exetel brands) to take a larger share of the market, leveraging Superloop’s Infrastructure-on-Demand platform. Superloop provides connectivity and services to customers in three segments of the market: Consumer, Business and Wholesale. Through Smart Communities, we own and operate extensive fibre to the premises (FTTP) and managed Wi-Fi networks that service residential and commercial communities including multi-unit dwellings. Through Neoloop we offer open access to our FTTP networks to other Retail Service Providers. Our offerings leverage Superloop’s investments in physical infrastructure assets that include fibre, subsea cables and fixed wireless, as well as Superloop’s software platforms. Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses rely on Superloop and Exetel every day for their connectivity needs.

Business Unit Overview

Our Business Unit integrates Corporate Development, Infrastructure Delivery, and Smart Communities, and is accountable for driving strategic growth through a combination of acquisition, development, integration, and operations.

Through the Corporate Development function, we identify, assess, and execute strategic investments and M&A opportunities that accelerate our network reach, customer base, and capabilities. This includes full lifecycle responsibility — from origination, due diligence, and transaction execution through to post-acquisition integration.

We lead the design and deployment of FTTP and digital infrastructure into greenfield and smart community environments, partnering with developers and utility partners to enable the connected communities of tomorrow.

Role Purpose

The Project Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the National Single Dwelling Unit (SDU) delivery portfolio, with accountability for consistent delivery performance across all regions, commercial outcomes, developer and builder commitments, and national delivery capability. The role translates business priorities, development programmes, and contracted obligations into an integrated national portfolio plan, ensuring the appropriate governance, resources, controls, and leadership are in place to deliver safely, efficiently, and predictably.

The Project Director leads the national SDU delivery team, owns portfolio budgets and forecasts, oversees contractual and commercial exposures, and acts as the senior escalation point for material developer, builder, contractor, and project issues. Through strong cross-functional and regional leadership, the role ensures alignment across the complete SDU delivery lifecycle and enables effective decision-making, intervention, and recovery where developments or connection programmes are at risk.

The role also develops the people, processes, systems, regional capacity, and performance measures required to scale national SDU delivery, improve forecast accuracy, strengthen accountability, and consistently deliver positive outcomes for developers, builders, end customers, and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery performance across the National SDU portfolio, including development intake, design readiness, construction, service readiness, connection enablement, cost, quality, safety, and customer outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated national portfolio plan covering development stages, Ready for Service milestones, dependencies, regional resources and contractor capacity, financial forecasts, delivery risks, and connection volumes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Project Delivery Managers and project support functions, ensuring clear accountability and consistent delivery standards.
  • Own portfolio budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete assessments, and commercial performance, including the management of variations and contractual exposures.
  • Lead portfolio governance, executive reporting, assurance reviews, and recovery planning for projects requiring intervention.
  • Act as the senior delivery escalation point for developers, builders, civil and construction contractors, utility partners, retail service providers, and internal stakeholders across the National SDU portfolio.
  • Coordinate delivery across Sales, Solutions, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Support.
  • Oversee the complete SDU delivery lifecycle, from opportunity handover, development staging, and design through civil construction, network build, commissioning, Ready for Service, builder and customer connection readiness, defects closure, and operational handover.
  • Ensure contractor performance, technical quality, safety compliance, defects, documentation, and project acceptance requirements are effectively managed.
  • Define national SDU portfolio performance measures and lead continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation across development intake, design, construction, Ready for Service, connection readiness, and project close-out.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated senior delivery leadership experience in telecommunications infrastructure, greenfield property development, FTTP, or large-scale SDU delivery, with responsibility for geographically dispersed portfolios, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

On Offer

  • Free Home Broadband
  • Free Mobile SIM plan
  • Flexibility – 3 days/week in the office
  • Lunch on Wednesdays, snacks, donuts and more!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
