About the Role

Our client is seeking a Facility Engineer to support facilities operations in a community and property management environment. This hands-on role combines practical facilities knowledge with the negotiation and management of annual maintenance contracts and the coordination of subcontractors. It is suited to a professional ready to take responsibility at a junior facility management level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities Operations: Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of community facilities.
  • Property Support: Apply practical property management knowledge to facilities requirements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Participate in negotiating annual maintenance contracts with service providers.
  • Contract Management: Manage maintenance contracts and follow up on the services provided.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate subcontractors carrying out facilities and maintenance work.
  • Service Oversight: Monitor subcontractor work and address facilities issues as they arise.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on facilities requirements and maintenance work.

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant Experience: Around two to five years of experience in facilities engineering, facilities management or a comparable role.
  • UAE Experience: At least two years of experience in the UAE.
  • Facilities Knowledge: Practical understanding of facilities operations within a property or community management environment.
  • Contract Experience: Experience negotiating and managing annual maintenance contracts.
  • Subcontractor Management: Experience coordinating and overseeing subcontractors.
  • Technical Background: A Mechanical or Civil background is preferred.
  • Practical Judgement: Ability to identify facilities issues and follow through on solutions.
