This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, improving processes and leading from the front.   What you'll be doing No two days are exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:

Leading the day-to-day operation of our incubation systems Coordinating the receipt, incubation and hatching of egg batches throughout the season Monitoring water quality, hatch rates, fry quality and system performance Maintaining exceptional fish welfare, biosecurity and housekeeping standards Coaching and supporting a small team to deliver strong production outcomes Troubleshooting equipment and working closely with maintenance teams to keep systems running smoothly Collecting and reporting biological and production data Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and performance across the hatchery

What you'll bring You'll be a practical leader who enjoys working in a production environment and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed. We're looking for someone with:

Experience working in aquaculture, hatcheries, agriculture, food production or a similar environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills Good computer and record-keeping skills A focus on safety, biosecurity and animal welfare A current driver's licence

Experience with salmonid incubation, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), fish health or water quality management will be highly regarded but isn't essential.   Why join us? This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical stage of our production process and make a genuine impact on hatchery performance and fish quality. You'll be joining a supportive team where you'll have access to technical expertise, ongoing training and development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to a growing and innovative aquaculture business. If you're passionate about aquaculture, enjoy developing people and want to play a key role in producing the next generation of stock, we'd love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
