The Role: Tassal is looking for a reliable, physically fit, and motivated Casual Processing Attendant to join our Offload team. This physically demanding role is based at our Dover processing site, located 1 hour and 30 minutes south of Hobart. This is a night shift role (6pm start time) with the shift length (6-8 hours) dependent on the daily volume of fish. Your work is crucial to the first stage of our processing operation, supporting the efficient and safe receipt of our harvest. The ideal candidate will be a true team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced, wet environment at night, with the physical capability to meet the demands of the role. Responsibilities:

Assisting with the offloading of fish from the harvest transport.        Safely operating a forklift (essential requirement) to move materials and equipment.        Cleaning the offload area and equipment as required.        Preparing bins and liners for production.        Assisting with quality and label checks.        Manual tasks including shovelling ice, lifting bin lids, and pushing bins.        Maintaining a strong focus on safety and hygiene at all times.

  Role requirements:

Essential: A valid forklift ticket and proven experience.        Experience working in a wet, industrial, or fast-paced environment.        Experience working night shifts.        Excellent communication and teamwork skills.        Strong reliability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic.        The physical fitness required for a very physically demanding role involving manual handling. Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical + AOD screening.       A current driver's licence and reliable transport.       Proof of working rights in Australia.

  Role offerings:

Generous 30% night shift allowance.        Heavily discounted seafood through our Salmon Shop & Truck.        Clear pathways for potential career development and progression.        The opportunity to work as part of a welcoming and close-knit team.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
