Orlan Truss Hauling, LLC is a family-owned company based in New Holland, PA, with over 24 years of experience hauling and setting building trusses at construction sites throughout the Northeast. We primarily serve customers in the agricultural building industry, providing reliable deliveries and crane services. What You'll Do as a Class A CDL Truck Driver

  • Load building trusses onto your truck, working alongside fellow drivers to get ready for deliveries.
  • Haul oversized loads of roof trusses to construction sites throughout the Northeast, primarily serving agricultural building customers.
  • Operate a tractor-trailer equipped with a knuckle boom crane mounted behind the cab and a roll-off stretch trailer.
  • Deliver trusses safely to job sites, navigating oversized loads and varying site conditions.
  • Set trusses in place on buildings using the knuckle boom crane, with training and company-paid certification provided.
  • Travel throughout VA, WV, MD, DE, NY, and New England, with overnight trips averaging 2-3 times per month, typically scheduled 1-2 days in advance, and a $150 nightly per diem plus company-paid hotel accommodations.
  • Build positive relationships with customers through friendly, professional service as a representative of Orlan Truss Hauling.
  • Work with your teammates to load trucks, coordinate deliveries, and help each other get the job done safely.

Our Ideal Class A CDL Truck Driver

  • Licensed & Experienced: Hold a valid Class A CDL with at least 3 years of CDL driving experience, a clean driving record for the past 3 years, and the ability to drive a manual-transmission truck.
  • Relevant Background: Experience hauling oversized loads, operating a knuckle boom crane, or working in construction (especially pole building construction) is a plus, but we're willing to train.
  • Safety-Conscious: Understand the importance of safely securing oversized loads, operating heavy equipment, and navigating active construction sites.
  • Physically Capable: Comfortable climbing onto trucks, securing loads, reaching, and operating equipment throughout the workday.
  • Independent & Dependable: Able to manage your time, solve problems on the road, and communicate respectfully with customers.
  • Positive Team Player: Bring a friendly, hardworking attitude, take pride in doing a good job, and willingly help your teammates succeed.
