Role Overview

TechAhead is looking for an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives across Android, iOS, and cross-platform mobile applications. The role involves QA strategy, automation framework development, team leadership, and ensuring product quality throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

QA Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices. Lead and mentor QA Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Testers. Drive test planning, estimation, execution, and release sign-offs. Collaborate with Product, Development, Design, and DevOps teams.

Mobile Application Testing

  • Own end-to-end testing for Android, iOS, and cross-platform apps. Ensure functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testing coverage. Validate applications across devices, OS versions, and screen sizes. Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning.

Automation & Quality Engineering

  • Design and maintain automation frameworks using Appium and related tools. Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines. Improve automation coverage and execution reliability. Drive shift-left testing and quality metrics.

Defect & Release Management

  • Manage defect lifecycle and root cause analysis. Coordinate with development teams to resolve critical issues. Support release readiness and production validation. Track quality KPIs and provide stakeholder reporting.

Required Skills

  • 9+ years of QA experience with at least 3 years in a Lead role. Strong expertise in Mobile Application Testing (Android & iOS). Hands-on experience with Appium, Playwright, TestNG or similar frameworks. API testing using Postman and REST Assured. CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD. Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Playwright or other modern automation frameworks. Performance and security testing. Experience in enterprise mobile applications.
