Position

We are looking for a Trade & Retail Marketing Manager to translate the brand priorities of Blizzard, Nordica and Tecnica into effective commercial execution across key markets. The role will focus on strengthening sell-in, improving retail execution and driving sell-through across key wholesale partners, while developing selected direct-to-consumer (DTC) pilots.

Working closely with Brand Marketing, Sales and local markets, the role will support strategic accounts, enhance retail and visual merchandising standards, and explore new direct-to-consumer opportunities to inform Alpine’s future commercial development.

Specifically, the main responsibilities of the role will include the following:

Trade Strategy & Sell-in

  • Define seasonal trade marketing priorities aligned with key brand and product stories.
  • Translate go-to-market (GTM) priorities into compelling sell-in narratives, dealer toolkits, catalogues and commercial marketing materials.
  • Support sales meetings and dealer training in collaboration with Sales and Product teams.

Retail & Visual Merchandising

  • Define and continuously improve retail and visual merchandising guidelines, point-of-sale (POS) materials, window displays, in-store displays and shop-in-shop concepts.
  • Ensure key brand and product stories are translated into distinctive, high-quality retail experiences.
  • Support local markets and strategic accounts in implementing retail concepts, coordinating suppliers and adapting materials to local needs where required.

Strategic Accounts

  • Partner with Sales on selected strategic accounts across key markets, contributing to account plans and activation priorities.
  • Develop customer-specific retail and co-marketing programmes to enhance brand visibility, product placement and sell-through.
  • Support key account presentations and seasonal commercial discussions, bringing a marketing and consumer-focused perspective.

DTC Pilots & Retail Innovation

  • Coordinate selected Alpine DTC pilots, testing new approaches to integrating brand experience, product presentation and commercial conversion.
  • Collaborate with Group E-commerce, Digital Experience, Sales and Operations to ensure alignment across commercial, operational and digital activities.
  • Analyze learnings from pilots, including assortment performance, merchandising effectiveness, consumer behavior and conversion, to inform future DTC development.

Performance & Budget Management

  • Define KPIs to measure retail execution, strategic account activations and DTC pilot performance.
  • Monitor sell-through and activation results in collaboration with Sales and local markets, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the Alpine trade and retail marketing budget, agencies and external suppliers, ensuring effective resource allocation and a focus on return on investment (ROI).

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of professional experience in Trade Marketing and/or Retail Marketing, ideally within sporting goods, outdoor, premium consumer goods or lifestyle brands.
  • Previous experience supporting strategic accounts, sell-in activities and retail activations in international or multi-market environments.
  • Strong understanding of retail execution, visual merchandising and wholesale customer journeys.
  • Experience with DTC, omnichannel or branded retail projects will be considered a plus.
  • Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to connect brand priorities with customer needs, retail execution and business results.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, markets and external partners simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with Sales, Brand Marketing, Product, Digital, E-commerce, Operations and local markets.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate performance data and consumer insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and strategic customers.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional European languages will be considered a plus.

Job level and salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, with an indicative gross annual salary of €45,000–€50,000.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
