Job Title: Massage Therapist Job Department: Spa Job Pay Range: $35.00 - $74.00 / hour (Inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge + gratuities)
Breakdown: Based on $11.75 per hour base wage + service charge commission + gratuity paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $10.00 - $23.00 and gratuity earnings of $15.00 - $40.00 per hour. Service charges and gratuities fluctuate based on the time of year. This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.
Job Summary: As a Spa – Massage Therapist, you will provide professional massage, body, and customized wellness treatments tailored to each guest’s individual needs. Assesses guest and Golf Club members’ preferences and promotes luxury skincare and spa retail products while adhering to The Broadmoor’s established sanitation, safety, service, and scheduling standards. Current and valid Colorado Massage Therapy (MT) license required. Learn more about Broadmoor here. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:
Perform diverse modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, stone therapy, reflexology, and hydrotherapy. Escort guests to and from rooms, check for contraindications (such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy), and ensure comfort throughout the session. Advise guests on home care regimens and promote spa retail and salon offerings. Maintain pristine treatment rooms, sterilize work tools, manage linen disposal, and restock supplies. Assist with spa opening/closing duties, coordinate schedules via spa software, and report any safety hazards. Monitors the efficient use of products and supplies to support budgetary goals and promptly communicates supply levels and applicable maintenance needs to the Supervisor. Assist in developing effective resolutions to guest and operational concerns, while considering both the short-term needs and long-term success of the Spa and its patrons. Stay current with changes and best practices in the massage therapy industry; pursue continuing education opportunities and ongoing professional development through available on-site and independent resources; maintain all required certifications, a valid state-regulated Massage Therapy License, and personal professional liability insurance. Supports daily Spa operations by completing additional duties as needed, including maintaining linen supplies, opening and closing treatment rooms and Spa facilities, refreshing beverage stations, ensuring cleanliness, adhering to established service standards and procedures, and properly handling soiled linens. Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond). Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets. Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent. Current and valid Colorado Massage Therapy (MT) license required. Previous 1 to 3 years of experience in massage therapy is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication. A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration. Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
