Warehouse Associate Location: Vernon Hills, IL Pay Rate: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

Position Overview A well-established and growing company in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking reliable, motivated Warehouse Associates to join their team at a newly opened, state-of-the-art distribution facility. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of a team that keeps a high-volume operation running smoothly from the moment product arrives to the moment it ships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process inbound shipments, verifying product quantities and condition against purchase orders and documenting any discrepancies
  • Pick, pack, kit, and stage outbound orders accurately in accordance with daily shipment schedules and quality standards
  • Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and in compliance with all facility protocols
  • Scan and update inventory records in the warehouse management system as product moves through receiving, storage, and shipping functions
  • Load and unload trailers in coordination with the shipping and receiving team, maintaining throughput targets without sacrificing accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times in compliance with OSHA and facility safety standards
  • Perform assembly and kitting functions as assigned, following product specifications and quality control guidelines
  • Support cycle counting and inventory verification activities as directed by inventory control staff or supervisors
  • Communicate proactively with team leads regarding production status, discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns
  • Meet or exceed individual productivity and accuracy benchmarks on a consistent basis

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the duration of the shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods in a warehouse environment
  • Basic reading, counting, and data entry skills for order verification and inventory documentation
  • Reliable work history with demonstrated consistency in attendance and performance
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace in a high-volume, fast-moving distribution environment
  • Willingness to work assigned shift schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, or Saturdays
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Prior warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution experience preferred but not required — training is provided
