The posting

Het bedrijf is de grootste B2B groothandel in de Benelux binnen de genotsmiddelen branche. De organisatie is daarnaast de enige producent in Nederland, heeft een eigen productiefabriek en kent een wereldwijd leveranciersnetwerk. Sinds 2016 heeft het bedrijf zich steeds verder ontwikkeld tot een e-commerce gigant en is het sinds kort op zoek naar een gedreven Front-End Developer die voornamelijk in Magento (1/2), maar ook in andere e-commerce omgevingen (Lightspeed, Woocommerce etc.) mooie dingen kan uitdenken, documenteren en bouwen.

De organisatie heeft een IT afdeling die bestaat uit Software Developers, een SEO specialist, BI consultant en Systeembeheerder. Dit team is op zoek naar een vlotte collega die graag zijn steentje bij wil dragen aan het opzetten van een totaal vernieuwd Magento 2 platform en daarnaast veel inspraak krijgt t.a.v. UX, Front-End usability en design. Het bedrijf is lekker informeel, zorgt goed voor haar medewerkers en is op zoek naar een gemotiveerde, pragmatische en spitsvondige collega.

Plaats Binnen De Organisatie

De Front-End Developer bekleedt een analytische, adviserende, uitvoerende en ondersteunende rol binnen de afdeling en legt direct verantwoording af aan het Head of IT. Verder zal je als Front-End Developer ondersteuning bieden aan de diverse afdelingen binnen de organisatie en nauw samenwerken met extern ingehuurde development partijen.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Je verbetert de gebruiksvriendelijkheid van onze webshops
  • Je bent een front-end baas, verspreidt je kennis binnen het team en werkt nauw samen met de SEO specialist & Software Engineers
  • Je coacht en levert feedback aan je collega's
  • Je denkt objectief na over technische keuzes, zoals architectuur, tooling, processen en houdt daarbij niet krampachtig vast aan eerder gemaakte keuzes of bestaande kennis.
  • Je werkt met je team aan nieuwe functionaliteiten en verbeteringen
  • Je houdt oog op de performance van de webshops en analyseert hoe je deze kunt verbeteren

Wat Er Nodig Is Voor Deze Functie

  • Je houdt wel van een uitdaging en hebt een manier om te bewijzen dat je uitdagingen aan kunt
  • Je begrijpt versiebeheer
  • Je hebt minimaal 3 jaar ervaring als een Front-end Developer in een vergelijkbare omgeving
  • Je bent goed in HTML, CSS, PHP en Javascript
  • Je hebt ervaring met LESS
  • Je hebt ervaring met jQuery & Prototype
  • Je bent goed in cross browser compatibility testing
  • Je bent trots op wat je doet en verwelkomt feedback
  • Je bent niet bang om initiatief te nemen en bent assertief

  • Begeleiden en ondersteunen andere collega's in het IT team
  • Meedenken met “soll” situaties; toekomstige werkwijzen en functionaliteit
  • Allround probleemoplosser inzake Front-End gerelateerde issues
