About the role The Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT) is part of the Trust & Safety team. As a LERT Specialist, you will be responsible for analysing and responding to time-sensitive user data requests, preservation requests and inquiries from law enforcement in the EEA/UK. You will work in a global and cross-functional team to ensure user safety on the platform and mitigate legal risk. You take great pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in our platform and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

Note: This position will include reviewing content that may be offensive or sensitive to some people and will include after hours work and weekend duty.

What will I be doing? - Reviewing and responding to an increasing number of user data and preservation requests from law enforcement agencies while protecting user privacy. - Ensuring that all law enforcement requests are analysed and processed in compliance with applicable laws (e.g., Digital Services Act, e-Evidence Regulation), internal Standard Operating Procedures, and our law enforcement guidelines, with a strong focus on evolving European legal frameworks. - Proactively monitoring and analysing the implementation and impact of the upcoming e-Evidence Regulation, and contribute to the adaptation of internal workflows and procedures to ensure full compliance. - Collaborating with cross‑functional internal teams such as legal and external partners to deal with issues concerning user safety, data privacy and data disclosure. - Ensuring operational excellence while upholding high quality, speed, and accuracy in your work. - Gathering and analysing data on law enforcement requests to improve internal processes and consistently communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. - Drafting internal documentation, workflows and procedures concerning user safety, data privacy and data disclosure. - Keeping accurate internal records and clearly articulating operational decisions. - Working on sensitive issues that include child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing.

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in a Law Enforcement Response specialist role or similar fields. - Experience in the retrieval and formatting of data using various internal tools and platforms which continue to evolve and develop. - Fluency in English and advanced English writing skills. - Proven ability to analyse and accurately process data with exceptional attention to detail in a fast-moving environment; requires strong analytical, organisational, and time-management skills to work independently and prioritise effectively under tight deadlines. - Understanding of the legal mechanisms for law enforcement data access in the EEA/UK region, including Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLAT), European Production and Preservation Orders, and national judicial orders. - Experience in navigating and complying with complex, strict regulatory environments, preferably with direct experience related to data privacy and disclosure rules in the technology sector. - Collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt and remain resilient while tackling challenging issues in a dynamic, multi-cultural, and fast paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice or similar. - Experience in developing or refining operational policies and procedures in response to new legal or regulatory requirements.

Recruitment Process: - Along with your resume, please submit a cover letter detailing your suitability for the role.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
