The posting

About the Team TikTok is where over a billion people come to discover, create, and connect. The Thailand Content Partnerships team sits at the heart of this mission, we work with local broadcasters, digital publishers, journalists, news creators, and media associations to grow a high-quality, trusted, and sustainable news ecosystem on TikTok. We believe that diverse, credible news content makes the platform better for everyone.

About the Role We are looking for a senior, market-facing Partner Manager to lead TikTok's News vertical in Thailand. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who understands both the newsroom and the newsfeed — someone equally comfortable advising a legacy broadcaster on short-form strategy as they are onboarding an emerging digital journalist into a growth program. You will own the end-to-end news partner strategy: shaping which partners we invest in, designing programs that help them grow, leading tentpole moments (major editorial events and campaigns), and representing TikTok externally with the industry. You'll work closely with Product, PR, Public Policy, and Trust & Safety teams to ensure our news ecosystem is vibrant, safe, and built to last. This role reports to the Southeast Asia Content Partnerships Lead and has no direct reports initially, with opportunity to build a team as the vertical scales.

What You'll Do Partner Strategy & Growth - Own Thailand News OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) across publisher growth, journalist onboarding, product adoption, tentpole campaigns, and offline activations. Setting quarterly priorities and delivering against measurable targets. - Identify, onboard, and nurture high-potential journalists, creators, and media organizations into direct and scaled growth programs, with clear success metrics for content quality and consistency. - Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with key publishers, broadcasters, and media associations building long-term, trust-based relationships that deliver mutual value. Content & Platform Strategy - Lead local content strategy for the News vertical, translating market insights into actionable, metrics-driven plans that grow high-quality news supply. - Localize global product initiatives (e.g., LIVE, TikTok Studio, CapCut) into effective partner activations tailored to the Thailand market. - Champion priority formats and partner communities, accelerating adoption of emerging content types that attract and retain audiences. Programs & Operations - Design and execute scalable programs from training workshops to creator incubators that mobilize journalists, creators, and publishers around platform objectives. - Streamline partner workflows using data-driven planning to reduce onboarding time and improve the partner experience. - Gather and synthesize partner feedback, representing Thailand market realities to internal Product and Policy teams to advocate for partner success. External Representation - Represent TikTok externally at industry events, conferences, press engagements, and partner meetings, acting as a credible, trusted face of the platform's news efforts. - Stay ahead of Thailand's media landscape tracking trends, identifying whitespace opportunities, and positioning TikTok as the platform of choice for news innovation.

Minimum Qualifications - Industry experience: Background in news strategy, editorial, audience development, social strategy, or partnerships at a news publisher, broadcaster, digital media company, or platform. - Thailand media expertise: Deep understanding of Thailand's news landscape, you know the key players, the emerging voices, and the structural shifts reshaping the industry. - Significant experience across the news media ecosystem, with a track record of driving measurable growth. - Platform fluency: Hands-on experience with social media platforms and a strong grasp of how journalists, creators, and publishers use digital tools to build audiences and sustainable businesses. - Communication excellence: Outstanding presentation and stakeholder management skills in both Thai and English (business proficiency or higher in both), with the confidence to engage senior external partners and internal executives. - Self-direction: Demonstrated ability to operate independently, drive projects from concept to completion, and make sound decisions in fast-moving environments.

Preferred Qualifications - Data-driven mindset: You use data, analytics, and insights (experience with dashboards, Excel, or SQL is a plus) to make pragmatic, high-impact decisions rather than relying on intuition alone. - Public presence: Experience representing an organization at industry events, conferences, or in media engagements. - Partner management track record: Proven success growing partner accounts and building durable, trust-based relationships that delivered measurable results. - Product & safety awareness: Familiarity with content moderation, Trust & Safety considerations, or platform policy, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams on sensitive news content. - Operational agility: Comfortable switching between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, with a bias for action over perfection.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
