Job Description

The Department of French and Italian at Tulane University invites applications for a position at the rank of Professor of Practice to teach courses in Haitian Creole and French and Francophone language, literature, and culture. The start date for the position is July 1, 2027.

The teaching of Haitian Creole is an integral part of the vibrant French and Francophone Studies program within the Department of French and Italian, the Linguistics program, and Tulane’s Latin American Studies program, which is one of the top-ranked programs in the U.S. We are particularly interested in candidates whose teaching can expand the program and contribute to existing strengths in Latin American Studies, Caribbean Studies, French and Francophone Studies, and Linguistics.

It is a full-time renewable three-year appointment with benefits and is renewable every five years after promotion to Senior Professor of Practice. A PhD is required for appointment as Professor of Practice.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
