Job Summary

You will lay bricks or blocks, mix and apply glues, cements, and grouts, prepare surfaces for flooring and plastering, apply plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, repair plaster work, report structural issues, and maintain a clean worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Follow materials and workmanship schedules to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks
  • Lay bricks or blocks accurately to construct or repair structures
  • Mix and apply glues, cements, and grouts to bond materials securely
  • Prepare cement floors, sidewalks, stairs, and curbing for finishing work
  • Prepare flooring surfaces to receive floor coverings effectively
  • Prepare and mix various raw materials to produce plaster suitable for application
  • Apply different types of plaster to interior and exterior surfaces to achieve smooth finishes
  • Fix and repair previous plastering work to maintain structural integrity and appearance
  • Identify and report any structural issues promptly to the site foreman for resolution
  • Remove waste and debris daily and after completing work to maintain a safe and clean environment
