The Opportunity:
University Operations is seeking a ServiceNow Developer responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise service management solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This position serves as a hands-on developer and technical subject matter expert responsible for platform development, workflow automation, integrations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the university, the successful candidate will leverage ServiceNow's low-code capabilities whenever possible while developing scalable custom solutions to meet complex business needs.

Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Development
- Design, develop, configure, test, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, portals, and platform components.
- Develop solutions using JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
- Build and maintain automated workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
- Develop custom solutions while promoting platform stability, maintainability, and upgrade readiness.
Integrations & Automation
- Design, develop, and support REST and SOAP integrations with enterprise systems.
- Build and maintain IntegrationHub solutions, import processes, transform maps, scheduled jobs, and data integrations.
- Implement secure and reliable integration patterns, including authentication, monitoring, error handling, and data validation.
Platform Enablement
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for ServiceNow modules including Incident, Request, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), CMDB, CSDM, and Asset Management.
- Configure and enhance service catalogs, workflows, SLAs, assignment rules, and related platform capabilities.
Technical Support & Continuous Improvement
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, deployment support, and production issue resolution.
- Evaluate platform releases, upgrades, and health assessments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop reports, dashboards, metrics, and data analyses to support operational decision-making.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, security, and adoption, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing and supporting solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, REST APIs, web services, and workflow automation.
- Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and enterprise system integrations.Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and best practices.
- Experience with CMDB, CSDM, Asset Management, and Strategic Portfolio Management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or related certifications preferred.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,518 - $90,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

This role requires the successful candidate to work on-site at UCF as their primary work location. On-site presence is an essential function of this role.
