Adjunct Faculty – Online Nursing (Part-Time)
Position Summary The Adjunct Faculty member for Online Nursing provides high-quality instruction and academic support to students in an online learning environment. This position is responsible for facilitating course content, engaging students in meaningful learning activities, assessing student performance, and supporting student success while maintaining program and accreditation standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Teach assigned online nursing courses using the university's learning management system.
- Facilitate discussions and actively engage students in the online classroom.
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on assignments, examinations, and clinical-related coursework.
- Maintain accurate student records and submit grades by established deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with students and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Adhere to university policies, nursing program requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Prior clinical nursing experience.
- Strong written communication and technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous online teaching experience in higher education.
- Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Experience with learning management systems and distance education best practices.
