Retail Investment Sales & Client Acquisition

Are you a sales-oriented professional with experience in retail financial services, client acquisition, and investment mobilization?

We are looking for a Retail Manager to expand the company’s retail investor base, attract new clients, mobilise investment funds, and achieve sales targets while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and mobilize investment funds from retail clients, high-net-worth individuals, professionals, business owners, and other prospective investors.
  • Drive the acquisition of new clients and grow the company’s Assets Under Management (AUM).
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve assigned monthly investment mobilization targets.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and consistently convert leads into funded investment accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities through referrals, networking, direct marketing, market intelligence, events, and strategic relationships.
  • Explain the company’s investment products and solutions to prospective and existing clients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Understand clients’ financial objectives and risk profiles and appropriately present suitable investment solutions.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to encourage additional investments, renewals, and portfolio growth.
  • Monitor client portfolios and provide periodic investment updates and relevant information.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, client engagements, and funds mobilized.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales and AUM targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promptly address client enquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Collaborate with the investment, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Banking, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in retail sales, wealth management, asset management, financial services, or deposit mobilization.
  • Demonstrable experience in investment or deposit mobilization is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to mobilize a minimum of ₦25 million in fixed deposits monthly.
  • Proven ability to consistently generate new business and convert prospects into funded investment accounts.
  • Strong personal and professional network capable of supporting investment mobilization.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and sales skills.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and commitment to ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and in a target-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid Lagos-based environment, with some remote work.
