Job Description
The Process Operator operates multiple production units, monitor control systems, and troubleshoots basic process issues with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a good understanding of plant operations and follow established operating procedures.
- Inspect the immediate work area prior to beginning operations to identify potential safety or operational concerns.
- Operate plant control boards and equipment, including screens, conveyor belts, pumps, hydrosizers, dryers, elevators, and other related equipment.
- Operate heavy mobile equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
- Perform rail loading functions in accordance with established procedures.
- Safely shut down equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform general cleanup and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as required by management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong commitment to safety and quality. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout all seasons. Ability to climb multiple levels using stairs and ladders and work from elevated platforms. Ability to safely use hand tools, including shovels, hammers, wrenches, and similar equipment. Good problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) knowledge. Forklift experience. Computer software experience. Warehouse experience - Preferred
