Join a team of passionate engineers and technical specialists with end-to-end responsibility for critical window modules. If you thrive on solving complex technical challenges, driving product development, and creating value across the entire product lifecycle, you could be our next Senior Development Engineer.

Meet your future team

You will become part of the Maintenance Free Window Modules team based in Østbirk. The team has end-to-end responsibility for VELUX sash and frame mo-dules made from polyurethane and other polymers, as well as our Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) modules.

Working across the full product lifecycle, the team supports everything from concept creation and new product introduction to continuous optimization of cost, performance, sustainability, and quality. We collaborate closely with Product Management, Production, and other development teams to ensure our products continue to create value for customers and the business.

As our new Senior Development Engineer, you will act as the Module Owner of the IGU module area, driving development activities, shaping future module roadmaps, and ensuring strong cross-functional alignment across the organization.

What we offer

This is an opportunity to take on a highly influential technical role with significant impact across products, processes, and stakeholders. You will work with experienced colleagues in an international environment where innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration are valued and encouraged.

More specifically your tasks will be to:

  • Hold technical ownership and end-to-end responsibility for Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) modules.
  • Drive module development activities across new product launches, performance improvements, cost optimization, upgrades, sustainability initiatives, and quality enhancements.
  • Conduct module health assessments to evaluate performance, value creation, business relevance, and future opportunities.
  • Identify, qualify, and drive opportunities that create value across the product lifecycle and value chain.
  • Lead design, concept development, and resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Define and secure technical requirements, module performance, and robust engineering solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment across Product Management, Production, Supply Chain, and Product Development.
  • Support management decision-making through technical expertise and insights.
  • Act as a knowledge leader by developing technical capabilities, facilitating learning activities, and promoting effective knowledge sharing throughout the organization.

What you will bring

You enjoy navigating complex technical environments and are motivated by combining deep technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and are able to balance technical excellence with business value.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Have experience working with product development or complex technical products.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to technical challenges.
  • Have experience with CAD tools, preferably CREO and Windchill.
  • Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage and align stakeholders across functions and disciplines.
  • Take a proactive approach and can independently drive activities from concept to implementation.
  • Have experience or knowledge into systems engineering, which is considered an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Have experience or knowledge within insulating glass, glazing solutions, or related technologies, which is considered an advantage but not a requirement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
