Over Pipelife

Pipelife is een van de grootste producenten van kunststof leidingsystemen in Europa en onderdeel van Wienerberger. De vestiging in Enkhuizen ontwikkelt, produceert en levert al sinds 1947 een compleet programma. Denk aan leidingsystemen voor drinkwater, riolering, regenwaterbeheer, gas, elektra en drainage. Of het nu gaat om klimaatverandering, de energietransitie of de transformatie van de bouw: Pipelife werkt me aan oplossingen. Vertrouwen, respect, passie en creativiteit bepalen hoe we dat doen.

Deze afstudeeropdracht is een gezamenlijk initiatief van Wienerberger en Pipelife.

De uitdaging

Onze klanten rekenen erop dat we op tijd leveren. Extra voorraad helpt daarbij, want het is een buffer tegen verstoringen. Maar voorraad kost ook geld: het legt kapitaal vast en brengt opslag- en risicokosten me.

Die afweging maken we elke dag. Een voorbeeld: leveranciers stellen minimale bestelhoeveelheden (MOQ), terwijl wij vanuit onze eigen doelen een andere optimale bestelgrootte (EOQ) hanteren. Inkoop, planning en finance kijken vaak elk vanuit hun eigen invalshoek naar dit soort keuzes. Wij willen dat beter en onderbouwd samenbrengen, en daar hebben we jou voor nodig.

Jouw opdracht

Je onderzoekt hoe ons voorraad- en bestelbeleid de leverzekerheid én het werkkapitaal beïnvloedt. Voor één of meer productgroepen ontwikkel je een verbeterde voorraadplanning en duidelijke beslisregels. Je laat concreet zien wat die verbeteringen opleveren in servicegraad, risico en kapitaalbeslag.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Huidige situatie in kaart brengen: productgroepen (bijvoorbeeld via een ABC/XYZ-analyse), voorraadniveaus, bestelprocessen en KPI's zoals servicegraad, levertijden en omloopsnelheid.
  • Beïnvloedende factoren analyseren: veiligheidsvoorraden, levertijden en leveranciersbetrouwbaarheid, vraagvariatie, MOQ versus EOQ en, als context, betalingstermijnen.
  • Impact kwantificeren: met scenario's laat je zien wat er gebeurt met service, risico en voorraadwaarde als we parameters aanpassen.
  • Tool ontwikkelen: je ontwerpt een praktisch framework of dashboard (bijvoorbeeld in Excel of Power BI) dat de afwegingen zichtbaar maakt.
  • Advies uitwerken: je stelt concrete beslisregels per productgroep op en bepaalt wanneer een afweging naar het S&OP-overleg moet. Waar mogelijk zet je samen met het team de eerste stappen naar implementatie.

Wat lever je op?

1. Een analyse van de huidige situatie (productgroepen, data, processen, KPI's)

2. Een framework of dashboard dat de afwegingen visualiseert

3. Een afstudeerrapport met onderbouwde verbeteradviezen, inclusief de vertaling naar kosten en kapitaalbeslag

4. Een presentatie aan het management

Wie zoeken we?

  • Een HBO-student in de afstudeerfase, bijvoorbeeld Logistics Management / Logistiek, Supply Chain Management, Bedrijfskunde of Finance & Control (WO is bespreekbaar)
  • Je kunt starten op korte termijn bij voorkeur in oktober 2026
  • Je bent analytisch sterk en werkt graag met data. Ervaring met Excel en eventueel Power BI is een plus
  • Je bent pragmatisch: je wilt dat je advies ook echt gebruikt wordt
  • Je schakelt makkelijk tussen inkoop, planning en finance en weet mensen me te nemen in je ideeën
