Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Amazon Connect Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and AWS cloud technologies.

This is a hands-on role focused on Amazon Connect development, call routing, messaging, cloud integrations, and process improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support enterprise operations.

The position requires working on-site in Woodlawn, MD, five days per week. Initial and final interviews will be conducted virtually.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Amazon Connect solutions, including applications, forms, workflows, access controls, interfaces, and configurations.
  • Develop and support IVR, Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), skill-based routing, live chat, and messaging solutions.
  • Integrate Amazon Connect with AWS cloud services and enterprise applications.
  • Develop solutions using Node.js, Python, or Java.
  • Gather, review, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Design and develop solutions within the ServiceNow environment.
  • Enhance existing processes based on new requirements, system upgrades, and operational needs.
  • Implement and troubleshoot communication workflows, cloud integrations, and system configurations.
  • Create and maintain process flow documentation and technical specifications.
  • Recommend improvements to existing operations, applications, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to support implementation, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, OR 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience working with large enterprise frameworks.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Connect.
  • 3+ years of development experience using Node.js, Python, or Java.
  • 3+ years of experience designing call routing and messaging solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Connect architecture, design, and development.
  • Experience with IVR, ACD, skill-based routing, and live chat.
  • Experience creating process flow documentation.
  • Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, Lex, conversational bots/NLP, Kinesis Streams, Glue, VPC, SNS, AppSync, EventBridge, Kinesis Firehose, DynamoDB Streams, Service Catalog, and Kinesis Data Analytics.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD, five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Prior federal government experience.
  • Experience delivering enterprise technology solutions in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Understanding of change management, testing practices, and high-availability systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective in independent and team environments.

Benefits

Salary: $120,000/yr.-$140,000/yr. based on experience.

Health insurance stipend. More benefits will be added in the next 6 months.
