Our Client is a multinational company operating in the Oil & Gas sector.

FUNCTION

Answering to the Camp Manager and the Site Services Manager, the main activities of the job include to: supervise the day-to-day camp operations to ensure accommodation, catering, housekeeping, recreational facilities, and support services are delivered in accordance with company standards and contractual requirements; manage accommodation allocation, occupancy records, Personnel on Board (POB) reporting, office allocations, and associated administrative functions to maintain accurate camp occupancy and resource utilization; oversee reception activities, including personnel check-in and check-out processes, visitor registration, room assignments, and maintenance of accurate POB records; coordinate travel and logistics activities, including flight bookings, flight manifests, arrivals, departures, airport transfers, and personnel movement planning; coordinate VIP visits by ensuring accommodation readiness, conducting VIP room inspections, arranging transportation, issuing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensuring its return to designated storage location; supervise catering operations, including food quality, menu compliance, hygiene standards, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with contractual Scope of Work (SOW) requirements; monitor recreational facilities to ensure cleanliness, proper usage, equipment serviceability, and adherence to company rules and camp regulations; conduct regular gym inspections, ensure compliance with gym regulations, monitor equipment condition, and promote a safe environment for users; conduct regular inspections and inventory audits of all recreational facilities, including gyms, sports courts, game rooms, entertainment areas, and associated equipment, to ensure assets are accounted for and maintained in good working condition; monitor inventory levels of recreational equipment, furniture, consumables, and accessories, ensuring timely replenishment and replacement when required; maintain accurate inventory records, asset registers, and inspection reports for all recreational facilities, highlighting shortages, damages, losses, and replacement requirements; coordinate repairs, maintenance, and replacement of damaged or defective recreational equipment to ensure continuous availability and safe operation; verify that recreational equipment is used appropriately and in accordance with company guidelines, while minimizing loss, misuse, and unnecessary wear and tear; coordinate hospitality services and special events, including menu planning, catering requests, event setup, food quality verification, venue readiness, and execution in accordance with approved visitor and event programs; coordinate vehicle and driver allocations for camp operations, VIP visits, special events, and personnel transportation requirements; coordinate and supervise airstrip transportation operations, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of arriving and departing personnel, visitors, and VIPs, while maintaining accurate transport schedules and flight movement records; prepare, manage, and monitor site office transportation schedules, ensuring the efficient allocation of vehicles and drivers to support operational requirements, meetings, personnel movements, and business activities; ensure all transportation activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures, including vehicle utilization, passenger manifests, and journey management requirements; prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports relating to camp occupancy, POB, catering performance, visitor management, events, travel coordination, customer feedback, and operational performance metrics; liaise with contractors, service providers, camp residents, and company stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery and timely resolution of operational issues; maintain accurate room inventory records and asset registers, ensuring all assigned items are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly reported; inspect rooms during check-in, occupancy, and check-out processes to identify damage, missing items, or maintenance requirements; coordinate the replacement, repair, or replenishment of damaged, lost, or unserviceable room inventory items to maintain accommodation standards; monitor room readiness and ensure all inventory items are present, functional, and in accordance with company accommodation standards prior to guest or resident occupancy; prepare periodic inventory reports, highlighting asset status, shortages, losses, replacement requirements, and trends affecting accommodation services; ensure compliance with room handover and checkout procedures, maintaining proper documentation for all inventory movements and asset accountability; conduct routine inspections and audits of camp facilities, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), hygiene, and company standards; monitor contractor performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly for any identified service deficiencies or non-conformances; ensure all camp residents, visitors, contractors, and service providers comply with established camp rules, company policies, security requirements, and code of conduct standards; conduct routine inspections and monitoring activities to verify adherence to camp regulations, accommodation standards, recreational facility rules, and site operational procedures; address and report violations of camp rules, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure compliance and maintain a safe, orderly, and professional living environment; promote awareness of camp rules and regulations through inductions, communications, and engagement with camp residents to foster a culture of respect, safety, and accountability; support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing camp operations, resident welfare, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • A certification in Hotel or Catering management;
  • A minimum of 05 years’ experience in logistics operation and camp management as supervisor or superintendent;
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills required;
  • Fluency in Portuguese or French is advantageous;
  • Suitable general knowledge in oil and gas industry;
  • Full understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk;
  • Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence critical decisions;
  • Living in the local area of the job is an advantage.
