This opportunity is suitable for internationally trained psychology professionals with recognised qualifications and relevant clinical experience who are interested in providing psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
The successful candidate will support individuals experiencing emotional, behavioural, and psychological difficulties while delivering ethical, confidential, and patient-centred care in accordance with applicable professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and clinical interviews to evaluate patients' emotional, cognitive, and behavioural functioning.
- Assess and support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and other psychological concerns within the scope of professional practice.
- Develop individualised treatment plans based on patients' needs and clinical assessments.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions and psychotherapy appropriate to professional qualifications and scope of practice.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, counsellors, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Provide psychoeducation and guidance to patients and families, where appropriate.
- Recognise situations requiring specialist referral or additional clinical support.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines, safeguarding requirements, confidentiality standards, and applicable professional regulations.
- Participate in case discussions, clinical supervision, and continuing professional development.
Requirements
- Master's degree or doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology or another relevant psychology discipline, as required for the applicable CDA professional category.
- Recognised academic qualifications and relevant supervised clinical training.
- Relevant experience in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychological approaches and ethical clinical practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Valid Community Development Authority (CDA) licence or eligibility to obtain the appropriate CDA professional licence, subject to the authority's qualification, experience, examination, and other applicable requirements.
