SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Nephrologist to join a leading hospital in the UAE. This opportunity is suitable for internationally trained nephrologists with recognized specialist qualifications and substantial clinical experience in managing complex kidney disorders.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nephrology services, including the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic kidney diseases, dialysis care, and the long-term management of patients with renal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of renal disorders, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, and electrolyte abnormalities.
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with complex kidney conditions and renal complications associated with systemic diseases.
- Manage patients requiring renal replacement therapy, including haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- Assess and manage patients with hypertension and kidney-related metabolic disorders.
- Evaluate patients for kidney transplantation and provide pre- and post-transplant nephrology care, where applicable.
- Interpret laboratory investigations, renal imaging, and other diagnostic findings to support clinical decision-making.
- Develop individualised treatment plans and monitor disease progression and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with urologists, intensivists, endocrinologists, cardiologists, and other specialists to deliver multidisciplinary care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding kidney health, treatment options, dialysis, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies, clinical governance, and patient-safety standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
- UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Renal Medicine / Nephrology, or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification accepted by the relevant UAE health authority.
- Relevant postgraduate specialist training and substantial experience in nephrology.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing acute and chronic kidney diseases and complex renal conditions.
- Experience in dialysis management and multidisciplinary renal care.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Eligibility for professional licensing as a Consultant Nephrologist in the UAE, subject to the applicable health authority's requirements.
